“Practice what you preach”
Sometimes we become so good at helping others we all fall foul of neglecting ourselves.

“Change is good”
Sometimes we need to take a step back and remember change is not just scary but also exciting and prosperous.

“You can’t please everyone”
If we try to please everyone we very rarely end up happy ourselves.

These were 3 key quotes that helped me decide to make this change, create new goals and remember that in order to help others most effectively, I must first ensure my own well-being is tip top!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the years of working full time as a solution focused hypnotherapist, with thousands of clinical hours sat with clients and presenting to crowds. Thousands more doing the admin, finances, marketing and legal processes. It has been an absolute pleasure and I have met so many fantastic people who I will remember forever.

I am by no means gone and I will be back with a whole new set of skills as a registered mental health nurse also practising as a solution focused hypnotherapist.

So it’s chow for now and see you all again soon 🤓 🌟

This isn't my wording, but I saw this and felt compelled to share.....

An elephant 🐘 and a dog 🐕 became pregnant at same time. Three months down the line the dog 🐕 gave birth to six puppies 🐶 . Six months later the dog 🐕 was pregnant again, and nine months on it gave birth to another dozen puppies 🐶 . The pattern continued.

On the eighteenth month the dog 🐕 approached the elephant 🐘 questioning, _"Are you sure that you are pregnant? We became pregnant on the same date, I have given birth three times to a dozen puppies 🐶 and they are now grown to become big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. Whats going on?".

The elephant 🐘 replied, _"There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy 🐶 but an elephant 🐘 . I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch in admiration, what I carry draws attention. So what I'm carrying is mighty and great.".

Don't lose faith when you see others achieving their success.

If you could chose one thing to focus on this month and take a small step to improve what would it be?

Perhaps fearing the unknown- remind yourself if it hasn’t happened then there’s nothing to fear yet.

Forgetting my power- write notes and pop them round the house to remind you how amazing you are.

Letting others drain my energy- stop, think, spread your energy with purpose, those who drain it consciously change how or when you spend time with these people; limit the negative contact.

Getting tangled up with worry- find a focus in the future that is positive and really start to build on that thought, what it feels like, how you will experience it, perhaps you’ve achieved something, find a focus that is positive and keep reminding yourself to think about that instead of the worry.

"Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh.

There was a pause.

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet.

"No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do."

"That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend.

"What are you doing?" asked Pooh.

"Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either.

"But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you. And I'll always be here for you, Pooh."

And as Pooh sat there, working through in his head his Difficult Day, while the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, swinging his little legs...he thought that his best friend had never been more right."

Monday morning- today my subconscious really proved to me how powerful our thoughts are.

I consciously spent yesterday telling myself/priming myself that I was going to the gym this morning after holiday club drop off and that I was going to feel fantastic for it! 🏃🏼‍♀️ 🏋️‍♀️

I woke up this morning feeling tired after a busy weekend, weathers miserable, the washing basket is full, the kitchen could do with a clean, the carpets need shampooing. I would happily have done any of these instead. I spent from 7:30-9am trying to convince myself it was okay not to come to the gym believe me there were some good arguments coming out.

However… I am here because I put the mental work and preparation in place yesterday and for all the excuses I could find there was a part deep inside of me forcing my body to drive in the direction of the gym while my thoughts were screaming for me to turn around and catch up on the handmaids tale on the sofa before work 🤣

It’s not always about will power or motivation because motivation comes from starting. It’s about our thinking, our thoughts processes that programme our subconscious for what to expect and when we programme it in a positive way we ultimately achieve our goals. 👏🏻💪🏼

The Posibilities Are Limitless

Without that ‘get up and go’ life can become dull, problematic and lack any inspiration or enjoyment. Motivation is key in our daily lives to achieve and flourish. When we are motivated we achieve, and this can lead to becoming healthier, wealthier and wiser.

What happens then, what goes wrong when we lack motivation, we haven’t got that get up and go within us? For many, this can cause real problems, procrastination, frustration, and tensions building. This can lead to problems in relationships, a lack of self-worth and confidence, withdrawal from social situations and neglecting daily chores or even self-care.

Therefore, understanding how to get your ‘get up and go’ back is essential and can yield some amazing results. There are many areas where motivation is key such as:
