SignaCare Circle of Life Project
“When one generation gives back to another”

What a big day it was today as we got to make our first donations of gifts to Waterford hostipal NICU today. We met with Maria Murtagh the CNM Maternity and Neonatal unit and Katrin Hesslir who were delighted to receive these lovely gifts that residents thought of. When we thought of this project in February we said if we got 10 items we were doing well but to come up with over 16 hats 28 blanket ,21 little comforters ,2 cardigan and 3 sets of booties, is a great achievement. We would like to thank the community who also got behind us and donated wool or sent items. We will also be talking about hour project on the KCLR Radio with Eimear NÌ Bhraonàin at 11:05am Friday the 22nd April.

We would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter. We started our day with a little egg hunt. We had a special visitor called into the center to give the resident a treat today, followed by a lovely afternoon with high noon tea with lovely treats and Bailey cocktails made by our wonderful chef Caroline.

We would like to wish everyone a very Happy Mother’s Day from us all here in Killerig. We celebrated by our award winning chef Caroline preparing a wonderful high noon tea which all resident enjoyed very much as well as receiving a little gift.

What a brilliant day we had here in Killerig for St. Patrick’s day. Cairde ceol agus damhsa treated the residents and staff to Traditional Irish music, singing and Irish dancing. We had some lovely treats made by our chef Caroline. It was great to celebrate our national day again with everyone.

What a lovely Valentine’s Day we had yesterday. We were happy to welcome back some great music from Mick Comerford we dance and sing our hearts out. The resident also made love gifts to give to all the staff that were working.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Killerig. On Monday we had a very special visit from the amazing mobile music machine with the brilliant singer Mary Coughlan. Both residents and staff had such a fabulous time as we sing and dance our way into Christmas 🎄. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas
