From the day after Spring Equinox, in mid-March the cycle of the year turns from Glamos to Samos, from feminine to masculine energy. This steady climb to the light continues in linear fashion cultivating strength and growth between Bealtaine on May 1st and the Summer Solstice on 21st June.

This portal ushers in the sensorial season of blossoming, aliveness, fullness, risk and opening where the seeds set in Winter and Spring quicken and flower. One of the ways to work with the energies of this time of year is to take a risk in some aspect of your life that is budding by narrowing the focus, becoming steady and strong allowing us to move forward with discernment.

📌 When & where?

From Friday, 6th to Sunday, 8th March. Contact us to book your place! T. 0599161473 E. events@lisnavagh.com. You can also buy a gift voucher for a friend or family by following the link in our bio.

🧘🏽‍♀️ About the retreat

This unique retreat is designed as a slowing down, drawing in, restorative time. We welcome yogis of all levels, from absolute beginners to those with significant experience and training. The emphasis, therefore, is on moving with awareness, breathing fully and intelligently, and practising hatha yoga in a safe and mindful way.

We recommend that those with extensive experience approach this weekend as a chance to re-connect to the fundamentals of practice, while those newer to yoga will find plenty to work with. We look forward to gathering together to luxuriate in a healthful and mindful space.

Look forward to meditation, relaxation and yoga as well as walks amongst hundreds of acres or big long siestas to bring you back to a proper and full nights sleep!

Our Walled Garden is waking up!! 🌱😍 The first signs of the growing season are quietly emerging all around the place and inside our polytunnel. After the stillness of winter, these fresh green sprouts feel like the beginning of some busy months ahead.

It’s always a special moment for us to see the beds begin to fill again, knowing these early shoots will soon grow into the produce that nourishes us.

Our winter salad leaves are now available 🥬

You can order them at €3.50 per 250g bag and collect them in our Walled Garden by following the link in our bio.

As the season progresses, this abundance is making its way into our first veg boxes of the year, offering fresh, chemical-free produce grown right here in our garden 🥕🫛🥔

It’s a simple and meaningful way to eat with the seasons and stay connected to the land!

Winter mornings by the lake at Lisnavagh have a quiet kind of clarity 💆🏽‍♀️ As you might see in the photo, a thin skin of ice settles across the water, catching the low light as it filters through the trees 😍 and the woods stand still around it (branches bare and air sharp and clean!).

The lake is part of our everyday rhythm. We love these kinds of mornings as they invite us to slow our pace and to notice small details. A pause on a woodland walk, a moment of stillness before returning indoors, or a gentle place to practise forest bathing - letting the senses take over and the mind settle naturally. In winter especially, it reminds us how restorative quiet can be, and how deeply nature supports rest when we allow ourselves to meet it where it is ✨

St. Brigid's Day is coming and we are happy to invite you to our Yoga & Nature Retreat with

At this retreat we will honour the national holiday, ‘St Brigid's Day’ during the weekend. A day to celebrate women, sisterhood and the blessings of water and light. This retreat will gently guide you to connect mind, matter and breath. Brigid’s wisdom and powers of healing will guide our awakening to the rhythms and patterns of Spring, the season of renewal and emergent life ✨

Brigid ‘The High One’ a member of the Tuatha De Danann, the supernatural race of Kings, Queens, Druids, Bards, Heroes and Healers of pre–Christian Gaelic Ireland.

The Triple essence of the Goddess Brigid denotes the Maid, the Mother and the Wise One. The stories in Ireland of the Saint and the Goddess are so inextricably interwoven that it is hard to disconnect them; in the same way that Irish history and mythology are interwoven to create a rich tapestry that we can draw upon in ritual and prayer offering us practices of devotion to call upon as we walk Our Beautiful Land.

🏯 About Lisnavagh House

Lisnavagh House is located only a few miles from Tullow where on 1 February 1807 – the Brigidine sisters, the order originally founded by St Brigid came back into existence after being suppressed during the 16th century Reformation and dissolution of the monasteries.

On that morning, a small group of women assembled in silence in their new convent and Bishop Delany planted a tiny oak sapling brought from the Eternal Flame at Brigid's healing well in Kildare; a symbol that would represent the continuity of St Brigid and the flourishing of her work everywhere.

“Silence is not the absence of something, rather the presence of everything” ❤️ During a period of solitude in the mountains of Nepal, spent eight days in complete silence and isolation. Without distraction, the noise of the world faded, and in that stillness, life began to speak in a new language.

What she discovered was profound: layers of gratitude rising to the surface, clarity unfolding where confusion once lived, and a deeper sense of peace that felt both ancient and alive.
In the quiet, she began to understand that silence isn’t empty, it’s full of answers. It holds the whisper of truth, of connection to nature, to the wisdom of the heart 🫂

“Silence has been one of my greatest teachers. When you can bear your own silence, then you are free.”

This retreat at Lisnavagh is an invitation to explore that same freedom. We’ll begin and end our time together with gentle connection and community, but the heart of the retreat will be a journey inward: a space to rest in silence, to listen deeply, and to return to your own ānanda — your inner joy and peace.

From Friday 30th January to Sunday, 1st February. The programme includes 2 night weekend stay (Lisnavagh Stables Courtyard or House) + Full programme & tuition + All meals and refreshments.
