This is just a glimpse of the food we prepared last weekend during our Witchcraft Retreat, Forest Magick lead by Isabella 😍

Our retreats at Lisnavagh are rooted in simple, thoughtful living πŸ’†πŸ½β€β™€οΈ and food is a central part of that experience πŸ˜‹ Meals are prepared with care using fresh, seasonal ingredients, many of which is grown just steps away in our Walled Garden. What’s on your plate reflects flavours that follow the natural rhythm of the seasons.

For us it’s about food that feels good to eat πŸ€— balanced, nourishing, and made to support your body as you rest and reset.

Shared meals become a quiet highlight of the retreat as time to slow down. This way of eating is part of the wider intention: to help you reconnect with yourself and other guests through simplicity and nourishment.

That’s why a retreat at Lisnavagh is an invitation to step away, eat well, and return feeling restored πŸ’«

Step into Spring at Lisnavagh with Holly & Andrew πŸ’«πŸͺ»

As spring unfolds we invite guests to step gently into the new season with a diverse programme of retreats and experiences created to inspire, restore, and re-energise. In order to celebrate Easter and the start of Spring, we teamed up with the Irish Times Food and Drink Club to create a special event for Easter Saturday 4th April.

🌱 About Step into Spring

Begin the day with a seasonal Get Growing talk led by Lisnavagh’s own gardening expert, Andrew Jordan, who will share practical insights on working with nature, planting for the months ahead, and reconnecting with the rhythms of the land.

From the garden to the table, guests will then move indoors for a vibrant plant powered recipes demonstration with wellness advocate and influencer Holly White, exploring how fresh, plant-powered ingredients can support energy, balance, and renewal after winter.

The experience concludes with a delicious, seasonal plant-based lunch prepared by the Lisnavagh kitchen β€” wholesome, colourful and deeply satisfying β€” enjoyed in the relaxed surroundings of the estate. Everyone will leave with a Goody bag from the Estate.

02/03/2026

From the day after Spring Equinox, in mid-March the cycle of the year turns from Glamos to Samos, from feminine to masculine energy. This steady climb to the light continues in linear fashion cultivating strength and growth between Bealtaine on May 1st and the Summer Solstice on 21st June.

This portal ushers in the sensorial season of blossoming, aliveness, fullness, risk and opening where the seeds set in Winter and Spring quicken and flower. One of the ways to work with the energies of this time of year is to take a risk in some aspect of your life that is budding by narrowing the focus, becoming steady and strong allowing us to move forward with discernment.

πŸ“Œ When & where?

From Friday, 6th to Sunday, 8th March. Contact us to book your place! T. 0599161473 E. events@lisnavagh.com. You can also buy a gift voucher for a friend or family by following the link in our bio.

πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈ About the retreat

This unique retreat is designed as a slowing down, drawing in, restorative time. We welcome yogis of all levels, from absolute beginners to those with significant experience and training. The emphasis, therefore, is on moving with awareness, breathing fully and intelligently, and practising hatha yoga in a safe and mindful way.

We recommend that those with extensive experience approach this weekend as a chance to re-connect to the fundamentals of practice, while those newer to yoga will find plenty to work with. We look forward to gathering together to luxuriate in a healthful and mindful space.

Look forward to meditation, relaxation and yoga as well as walks amongst hundreds of acres or big long siestas to bring you back to a proper and full nights sleep!

Winter mornings by the lake at Lisnavagh have a quiet kind of clarity πŸ’†πŸ½β€β™€οΈ As you might see in the photo, a thin skin of ice settles across the water, catching the low light as it filters through the trees 😍 and the woods stand still around it (branches bare and air sharp and clean!).

The lake is part of our everyday rhythm. We love these kinds of mornings as they invite us to slow our pace and to notice small details. A pause on a woodland walk, a moment of stillness before returning indoors, or a gentle place to practise forest bathing - letting the senses take over and the mind settle naturally. In winter especially, it reminds us how restorative quiet can be, and how deeply nature supports rest when we allow ourselves to meet it where it is ✨
