Summer is for many, a much-needed break from stress and work. During the summer holiday, it is also pretty easy to catch a case of summer FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). It's quite common to fear summer disappearing right before our eyes.

You might want to catch up with a lot of things during your vacay, but it is equally important to take time to rest. Recovering from a stressful everyday life is important for both your body and your mental health.
Stress can be good for us, but in small doses, it can provide extra strength and energy when we need it. But if we stress too much and for a long time, it has a negative effect on the body. For example, it can lead to problems such as high blood pressure and muscle aches. (Muscle aches is one of the ways my body lets me know that I'm imbalanced). If you are used to living at a high and stressful pace, it can be difficult to completely relax, even on your days off. Here are some tips on things that can help you rest properly.

○Make time for downtime - Make relaxation a priority on your calendar just like any other important appointment.

○Give your mind a break- Resting your mind is just as important as resting your body. Close your eyes for a second, take slow deep breaths, and just unplug from the world for a second or two. My favorite thing to do is to lay outside in the sun on a blanket with my dog:)

○Consider taking part in activities that require your complete attention, such as cooking, hanging out with loved ones, reading, team sports, etc. This type of activity can give you a mental break by helping you to stay fully present.

○Go offline - Take a break from the digital world. Being online can make us feel offline and make it harder to relax and rest. Try to turn off your phone and do something just for you.

○Resting is essential for our well-being. Make sure to make time for it. If you can't make time for daytime rest, make sure you get a good night's sleep for your body, mind, and soul.

What is your favorite way to unwind after a stressful time?

Emotions are always with us. Suppressing emotions can cause stress to the body and mind and can lead to symptoms of depression.

The inability to deal with emotions can lead to fear of conflict, low self-esteem, and difficulty creating lasting relationships and negatively affect our mental and physical health. Avoiding our feelings can also lead to problems with memory, aggression, anxiety, and depression.
After all, emotions are there to be expressed, to get out. They tell us what needs attention and wants to be acknowledged. The more we ignore our feelings, the louder they scream in us. Sometimes they scream themselves numb, and we can fall into depression.

Allow yourself to grief, feel sad, and feel anger. If the pain inside is too much to bear by yourself, remember, you are not alone. Reach out to a friend, support group, or professional to talk it through. Writing about it in your journal is another effective way of expressing it, and so is moving your body. Be kind to yourself, always!

Focus on yourself and discover what you want and need in life.
Trying to change someone else is just a waste of your precious time.
When a person is ready for change, you can support them in their process, but you can never do the work for them.

Sometimes all we need is to know that we are not alone.::::::: ...

You don't have to sit like a buddha statue to practice mindfulness, nor do you have to set aside a certain amount of time of your day if you don't want to. You don't have to change your everyday life to incorporate it into your lifestyle. Mindfulness is about being more aware of what you are doing in the present moment.

Mindfulness is not something new, it is a quality that we already have, but our busy lifestyle and 24/7 sensory overload have made it harder to maintain.

The brain has a hard time distinguishing between what is real and what is made up. Therefore, it does not differentiate between what you think and what you experience in reality. This means that if you think thoughts that make you anxious or stressed, the body reacts as if it were. You can not rule out negative thoughts, but you can learn to handle them instead.

Where to start:
When you eat, for example, stay in the moment, how does the food feel in your mouth? How do you feel when you wake up or going to bed? How does your body feel? Be aware of your wandering thoughts, observe them without valuing them or judging yourself, smile, and continue your practice. Observe yourself and the sensations you feel when you are doing the dishes, watch that plate get clean, feel the water on your skin in the shower, be and stay aware of the steps you take when you walk. Get in touch with your beautiful mind and body.

Spring is here even if this April weather tells us different (here in Europe)

Being aware and taking care of your inner world and body is equally important as taking care of your home.
Although decluttering your space can help you with your internal process.

Free yourself from grudges and drama, journal around them, reflect on them and then let it go. Allowing yourself to release, little by little, anything that doesn't serve you good is a step towards inner peace. Moving your body and being playful are some of the most powerful healing tools.

Has anyone made you think that you're crazy? Have they twisted your perception of reality, blamed you for their mistakes, and left you speechless?
Then it's likely that you've been exposed to gaslighting.

Gaslighting is a very effective manipulation strategy that some use to exploit others and make them suffer. They can make you question your entire reality and make you believe that you are at fault for their mistakes. They can act cruelly against you and blame you for it, saying it was your fault they had to react the way they did.
Gaslighting can occur in any relationship, personal as well as professional. It can be expressed verbally, emotionally, and/or physically.

If you recognize yourself, remember, you are not crazy. Trust your intuition! There is great help out there. Talk to your family and friends and reach out to a professional. You deserve to be free and happy. @ Sacile

Did you know that walking is good for your physical health and mental well-being? All it takes is 30 minutes a day.

Walking is not only an excellent way to get around - it is incredibly healthy as well. A lot of research shows that a 30 min walk can work wonders for our health.

Walking leads to strengthening your muscles, joints, and bones. You also increase your balance and mobility, this reduces the risk of falls and fractures. There are also positive changes inside the body- you can find improvements in your blood fats, pressure, and sugar.

When moving the body, it releases chemicals in the brain such as dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins, resulting in feeling happier and more alert.

Walking can be a very mindful practice. It can also be a great way to catch up on some audiobooks and listen to your favorite songs or podcasts. If you need motivation, bring someone whose company you like with you or catch up on those calls you have lined up. Or better, enjoy your own company while exploring. In other words, Do YOU! :)

Having boundaries is not selfish; it is essential for our well-being.
By setting boundaries, you are taking care of yourself. Many of us don't know the meaning of it. We are programmed from an early age to tend to other people's needs before our own and can feel guilty, almost like a villain, when we say no to others to say yes to ourselves. At the same time, we can walk all over ourselves. We can spend money that we don't have in the name of self-care. We can overindulge in social media, food, alcohol, etc. Stay up late at night watching Netflix when we need our sleep and listening to others' problems when we feel at our worse. Learning to set boundaries for ourselves is essential for our health. It is a hard practice, especially if we have never been taught how to, but it is a liberating one when we master it. Start slow and be mindful about the process. What is the one thing you can start with today for yourself?
