Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance

Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance The Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance. Coordinates global research and funding. 29 member nations.

Antimicrobial resistance is a global problem that presents a major public health challenge. The aim of JPIAMR is to integrate relevant research activities across national borders. The need for this initiative is obvious – bacteria and other infecting agents know no borders and therefore trans-national cooperation is crucial. A shared strategic research and innovation agenda guides the research funding. JPIAMR provides the forums and funding platform to conduct the joint actions that are urgently needed for understanding and curbing AMR on a global scale. The following 29 participating countries have dedicated their commitment to the success of the initiative: Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Romania, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, , The Netherlands, Turkey, and United Kingdom.

We are happy to host this workshop with KTN! We will explore the main barriers to the industry in developing novel antibacterial drugs for humans and how JPIAMR and other stakeholders (industry, academia, funders, and regulatory agencies, among others) can work together to improve the translation of these developments.

We are happy to host two roundtables with the International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS)!
Join us and discuss gaps and opportunities for and research. Contribute to updating the JPIAMR
Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda!

The objectives of the webinar are to:
1. Reflect on the area of prevention and intervention to mitigate AMR across all sectors.
2. Discuss and identify gaps and opportunities to reflect on progress made over the past 5 years.
3. Identify areas of research that would need to be incorporated to reflect a global AMR perspective.

The webinar will take place over two days, with different speakers to suit multiple time zones – but the agenda will be the same.
