Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀

Unfortunately, we won’t be open today due to an electricity outage. Our Donerds scientists work every night to prepare the donuts for the morning, but last night and this morning we still didn’t have power.

Here are some pictures from the great St. Patrick’s weekend we had! We were even visited by the leprechaun 🍀 lol.

Thank you to everyone who came out and tried our amazing St. Patrick’s donuts and drinks.

We’ll be open tomorrow in Bethlehem (if the electricity comes back) and Thursday in Jim Thorpe.

For the first time ever a customer requested if we could make a cake for her boyfriend. He prefers donuts more than cakes and asked if we could make this a reality .
We love challenges and we made a donut cake 🎂 For being the first time we are very happy and we can’t wait to keep making this better and better with each try .
We’ve been thinking so many things like having unicorn donut cakes , or customized cartoons or names .
We are dreaming about and we would love to give this option to our loyal Donerds fans.

Our strawberry French toast donut has been so popular that is staying in the menu indefinitely in both locations.
Have you tried it ?
This fluffy donut is filled with light custard whipped cream, a touch of strawberry jam and fresh strawberries for a bright, creamy twist on classic French toast.

If you like classics like strawberry shortcake you need to try this version . In our opinion it’s one of the yummiest .

Our crème brûlée donuts are one of our personal favorite donuts from all the menu .
The crunchiness of the caramel crust , the soft pillow of the donut and the delicious vanilla custard cream is an excellent combination of flavors .
In the past we’ve done different creme brûlée combinations
Banana , pistachio , eggnog , earl grey and others .

St Patrick’s is coming soon and we created a special donut for it .
Our Baileys cheesecake donut .
The perfect combination of a silky and smooth cheesecake and the Creamy Irish liqueur flavor with notes of coffee and Vanilla and the buttery of the Leibniz biscuits in it .

You CANNOT say these aren’t cute ❤️

One of my favorite childhood memories is watching the Powerpuff Girls. As a little girl I loved seeing them save the world through the TV. I was in love with Blossom.

I remember me and my friends pretending we were them and that we had to save the world.

Isn’t it so nostalgic to see these cartoons again and think about your childhood? Your friends, the silly things you used to do, and imagining a life without responsibilities.

This is exactly the feeling we wanted to create.

Big shoutout to our Donerds scientists for making these possible .

Our favorite cartoons were Dexters Lab ( our Donerds shops are inspired by his lab) , the Simpson , the flintstone, Johnny Bravo , Powerpuff girls, Tom& Jerry, Sponge Bob , Popeye, Cow and chicken and so many more.

We’re not sure how many of you know our story, but it’s a pretty cool one 😎

Nine years ago, we had a vision. We didn’t just want to open a donut shop ,we wanted to build something bigger. A community. A place where people could hang out, laugh, and forget their problems for a little while.

We were young. We didn’t have money or investors. At the time, we were living in Chile (where I’m from), and in Santiago the only donut shop was Dunkin’. Andy’s grandfather had shared his donut recipe with us, and we saw how much people loved donuts ,so we thought, why not bring something different?

We started small. Really small.
Homemade donuts made in our tiny apartment. We sold them at the beach, outside schools, and in supermarket parking lots. We saved every single dollar until we could buy the coolest VW bus and turn it into our food truck , our Yellow Submarine.

From there, things started to grow. We got permits, parked in high-traffic spots, refined our recipe, and built our brand.

We’ve always loved science and proudly considered ourselves nerds .
So the name came naturally: Donerds Donuts (the donut nerds). And yes nerd means the same thing in Spanish too 😉

From a small apartment to a couple locations in Santiago. Then we made the big move to the United States to continue growing the brand.

Today, we’re still growing , but intentionally. We want to make our business better and better before jumping into the next location.

If you have a dream, work hard for it , Start small if you have to.
Everything is possible.

Your mind is more powerful than you think.
