Dr. Gilroy provides Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. Also focuses on the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic care is most often used to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches. Doctors of Chiropractic practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to healthcare that includes patient examination, diagnosis, and treatment. Chiropractors are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises as well as to provide nutritional, dietary, and lifestyle counseling.

Meet the team:

Hi! My name is Emily Reightler! I am so excited to be working with the Gilroy Family Chiropractic Team this summer! I am pursuing my graduate degree in Public Health with a concentration in Nutrition from Liberty University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from East Stroudsburg University, where I earned dual majors in Health and Physical Education (K-12), and was the university’s Health Education Student of the Year in 2012. While I am working here, I will be assessing nutritional needs, providing nutritional information on pain prevention and health promotion in regards to chiropractic needs, and overall attempting to implement healthier eating habits in the community through nutrition education. Chiropractors and nutrition specialists work synergistically. By providing nutritional education in addition to your chiropractic care, my hope is that you will gain a better understanding of how these two things can work together to reduce pain, increase energy, and simply better your overall health.

I am a born and raised member of the Lehigh Valley and am currently a health and physical educator in a local school district, teaching at the elementary level. I live in Breinigsville with my husband, our 9-month old daughter and our dog (she’s a yellow lab, German Shepherd mix). Working out and eating healthy are staples in my life. I am a very active person: I am an avid runner, practice yoga, and enjoy playing team sports. When it comes to food, I will take all of the fruits, vegetables, and fish, please! The more colors on my plate, the happier I am!
