We are excited to announce our new CNO, Stephanie Sands! Stephanie brings over 25 years of experience in managerial and leadership roles to her position as Chief Nursing Officer at Hanover Hill Behavioral Health, including 14 years in nursing leadership and eight years dedicated specifically to behavioral health. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership from the University of Phoenix, a degree that reflects her commitment to advancing clinical excellence and compassionate care.
In her role at Hanover Hill, Stephanie leads with a focus on dignity, safety and person-centered care. Her responsibilities span a wide range of strategic and operational functions, all aimed at fostering environments where patients feel supported, understood and empowered in their recovery journeys.
Stephanie’s passion for behavioral healthcare is rooted in a deep commitment to erasing the stigma around seeking help and improving the lives of individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. She finds purpose in guiding teams that prioritize empathy and clinical integrity, ensuring every individual receives the quality care they deserve.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys repurposing discarded glass bottles into creative garden borders and hanging tree art, transforming forgotten objects into meaningful pieces. She lovingly refers to herself as a “repurposer,” who sees potential in everything and everyone. Stephanie also cherishes time with her husband, Pete, their three adult children and their two lively cats. She’s especially excited to welcome her first grandchild in December and embrace her new role as “Nona.”
