Ever wonder why we hear the phrase, "Beware the Ides of March"? Ides simply refers to the middle of the month. In Roman times it was known as the deadline for settling debts. But, apparently, March 15th didn't bode so well for Julius Caesar and that's why we hear that phrase. On a more positive side, it means less than a week till the official start of Spring. We have good news and we have bad news. The good news is that at 2:00am Sunday morning, while most of us are asleep, Daylight Savings Time starts and it will begin to stay lighter longer outside each day. The bad news is that, for some of us, it will feel like we lost an hour of sleep. And so the conversation goes on......why do we still do this?
