π DECEMBER YOGI OF THE MONTH π JESSICA EDWARDS BUSKIRK π π
I started practicing at HOT40RP (and hot yoga) during a season of my life when I was recovering from trauma. I walked into the studio knowing nothing about yoga, and no one.. but what I found was a practice that began healing me from the inside out and a group of humans that care. Ali welcomed me, and instructed me in my first class ever. The heat, discipline, and structure of HOT40 helped me slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with parts of myself I had been disconnected from for years.
As I continued, I started to notice change, first in my balance and flexibility, then in my overall strength. My energy increased, my metabolism began to improve, and my sleep became more consistent. Moving with intention instead of stress even led to gradual weight changes and a healthier relationship with my body. Iβm now on my second year of practice, and the mental benefits have become the most transformative part of my journey.
Yoga has become one of my strongest tools for healing.. The grounding I feel on my mat follows me into my daily life, into my work, my relationships, and the way I care for myself. HOT40RP has truly become a form of medicine for me, helping rebuild my resilience and restore my sense of peace. Iβm deeply grateful for this practice and the community that has supported my growth every step of the way. We cannot do this alone, this practice and the Hut have changed my life!
