From someone who hasnt worked out in years, to members that have been with us for over 7, take the first step. is a fitness training company based out of the Lehigh Valley. Equipped with different classes such as an Adult Fitness and an Athletic Development program, it fits the needs of all fitness levels ranging on different intensity levels. We build a team oriented approach which allows for our members to feel welcomed and drives a like-minded movement toward accomplishing a similar goal. Our programs will set you up to achieve your optimal level of fitness in a safe and effective manner focusing on technique, mind-set, and a willingness to push yourself in a way you have never before.

Lower Back Pain is one of the most common areas that we see people experiencing tightness and discomfort in.

Over the years we have developed a system and approach for helping our members and new clients when they first start out with us. I hope you find these tips helpful.

1. Posture is everything. Any forward pressure in the upper body/neck area transfers down the entire kinetic chain into the ground. Ideal posture is from your ears to ankles in a straight line.

2. Proper Breathing-breathing through your diaphragm and not your chest area. Most people do what is called clavicular breathing which is through your chest. We try and get out members to breathe through your diaphragm which also helps create stability for the lower back and spine area. This also helps calm the nervous system down.

3. Hip Mobility-one area that we target is hip mobility, primarily in the hip flexor. Most times this area gets tight and believe it or not it pulls on the front of your hips, anteriorly rotating them forward.

4. Glute Engagement-for most people with lower back issues, the hamstrings get very tight. The glutes then get shut off. We want to engage the glutes through consciously contracting them through specific exercises like hip bridges and single legged hip bridges.

Lower back pain is not fun for anyone. The good news is, through proper mobility and flexibility exercises as well as the correct strengthening exercises, progress can be made and ideal posture and be focused on getting back into.
