based clinical experience is crucial to securing a United States Residency training position. If you wish to train at a U.S. based, ACGME accredited institution, you should begin your preparation by learning more about the rigors and challenges of medicine in the U.S. The only way to do that is by rotations and observerships in U.S. based clinical sites, where preceptors can help you adjust to the

differences that residency program directors will expect you to be able to navigate. Clinical Experiences, we offer Foreign Medical Graduates the opportunity to learn in NYC-based clinical rotations for competitive rates. Besides the invaluable experience that comes with our clinical rotations in the U.S., we provide proper mentorship to our students to help them maximize their potential. The physicians that started Brooklyn USCE have been through the rigors of being Foreign Medical Graduates themselves, and have started this program to help give back and to help pave the way for further generations of FMG’s to thrive in American medicine.

Pakistan IMGs showed everyone what smart decisions can do to your career - and here’s what all of you need to learn from them -

Stop raving about ‘hospital experience’. In most hospitals you would be one of the most insignificant cogs in a machine. Even your LORs are usually generic pieces of paper, and that too if you’re lucky enough to get an LOR!

You need to focus on getting experience with doctors who would be able to:

✅ Write personalized LORs for you, that too on time.
✅ Talk to Program Directors for you.
✅ Guide and mentor you.
✅ Help you understand the Match process better than anyone else would!

Make smart choices, because if it helped all these amazing students from Pakistan match, next year it could be you! 😉

P.S.: Of course you should experience inpatient rotations if they are available, but if you don’t get them, stop wasting your time! Go to Outpatient Clinics where your work would mean something to your attending physician. Our students did Outpatient Clinical Rotations, Tele-Rotations, and some even went to inpatient rotations after learning from us... and they did great during their hospital rotations. This is why our Match result came out to be fabulous when people everywhere else are left unmatched! 💁‍♂️

You cannot trust random people around you because most of them are unpredictable. And Residency is tough, so you don't need all that extra unpredictability... 🥲

However there are 2 people in the whole world who would be genuinely happy about your success - Mom & Dad. That's it.

Not your friends, not your colleagues. Nobody else. I know at your age you think they're embarrassing or don't get it - trust me, I was the same, and now I'm going through it with my kids too 😂

But I realized as I grew older, that my parents were always right. About everything. Your parents ALWAYS want what's best for YOU. So when they say something to you - LISTEN TO THEM! And think very, very carefully about what they say, as well as their intention behind their words.

Because these are the only well wishers you have in a world that could turn its back on you at any time.

Do you agree or nah?👇

No matter where you’re doing your rotations, talk to REAL students first, or talk to people who already matched… not random people on the internet that can’t even tell you who they are! 💁‍♂️💯⁣

Program Directors LOVE empty sections on ERAS Applications - it makes their job of filtering out candidates much easier! 😂🤷‍♂️⁣

Residency programs now use Signals to filter 1000 to 2000 applications down to just a few hundreds, and that's why Programs now have the time to look at every single detail of your application closely📄🔍⁣

If your research column is blank, they will immediately REJECT YOU and take someone who has real US research experience!⁣

You NEED to start building your research portfolio RIGHT NOW to have a chance at Matching💪💯⁣

👉And it's not that difficult - you just need the right guidance, and hard work. If you want to do Research with Brooklyn USCE, contact us on -⁣
