In 1961, Congress created National Poison Prevention Week to increase knowledge about how to prevent and stop poisoning accidents. Communities and poison centers across the country host events every year to share the message.

The goal of National Poison Prevention Week is to teach about the risks of poisonings at any age and increase everyone’s involvement in poison prevention. It takes place every year in the third week of March.

I am a volunteer coordinator & Outreach partner with Harvest Family Success Center. I have been with Harvest for almost a year and a half. I started doing volunteer work with Harvest a few years ago and then became a part time worker. I really enjoy my team and what we do.
In my time off from Harvest I work another part time job, and when I’m not working there, I love to travel, keep active, spend time with family and friends and just have fun.
