I just finished a great private session with a client who first saw me during a collaboration with Julianne and the Stargate work during an Essence of Life workshop. This client admitted that when she first was introduced to me and my work she actually felt repulsed.

She then went on to share that after reading a bit more and hearing more about what I do over the year or so has actually realized that she was becoming more and more drawn to my work.

She shared that she realized she wasn't ready for this work until realizing the value and spiritual significance of going into the depths and not just soaring in the heights.

I was not offended. I know that resistance is real and often our cells, nervous system and perception will actually register what is good for us, what is positive and what we need to do in order to truly manifest and heal, as threat!!

Yes, we often register what we need as threatening!

Another aspect of this is recognizing our shadow!! If we are repulsed, strongly objecting, triggered then there is usually medicine in it for us! The unconscious alerting us to pay attention, be curious and go within to allow the process to reveal itself.

Let us face it, we prefer the warm glowy sweet energies of the etheric realms much more than what is actually happening inside our physical body. Who wants to sit and listen to the pain, be held in the subtle energies of focusing on the smallest thing or be told that lasting change is slow and sustainable?

Yet this how we rewire, bring experience into completion and truly embrace the path of the Divine Feminine.

As this is exactly what the Goddess asks of us...Isis is the Goddess that goes to the depths to retrieve the dismembered parts, Inanna descends down the 7 gates of the Underworld before ascending to stand in her true power, Sophia descends into the Darkness before she is reunited with her Bridegroom. Mary must bare witness and transmute the grief portal of her own womb in order to support and assist in the ascencion of Jesus. Let us also remember that Excalibur is at the bottom of the Lake in Avalon waiting for the the feminine to retrieve it.

Truly when we hear the word embodiment, we must understand that embodiment literally means being able to sit with WHAT IS without having to shift and change it or make a story out it. It means having to open to this right brain implicit felt sense part of being that is not rational or linear.

Embodiment asks us to register and recognize the weight of consciousness and to be able to hold heightened energy while staying in connection/ social engagement.

I know why someone would be repulsed by that. Yet I also know, just as this client is getting to experience what happens when we embrace the work of the Goddess, when we actually build our roots so we can soar to greater heights.

We get real resiliency, real embodiment, sustainable and long lasting change, we get Wisdom and real Power because I teach you how to hold space for what is happening inside and allow your symptoms, pains, dreams to be the symbols that they truly are and reveal the messages of the Soul, our Higher Self.

To be able to become an embodiment of Wisdom we. must know the Depths and the Heights, we must know how to stay out of the thinking mind and allow our true inner most technology to awaken.

We are begin asked to bring Spirit into Matter and that. means we must work with the Goddess as she is the ones who empties us and allows us to build the vessel for the new energies to poured into.

Freedom comes not from running from it or trying to force things to instantly go away, it comes from the unwavering knowing that no matter what happens, no matter what you feel, you can be resilient, you can stay connected, you can have strength and vulnerability.

I am so honored that although this client was so repulsed by me when first introduced to my work left the session "feeling more relaxed and space inside then I ever felt in 30 years".

Expansion does not exist without contraction. The reason why our body does not let go of all the pain and suffering in one moment is NOT because you are doing it wrong. It belongs to the intelligence of the universe. If you were to feel the totality of the stored stress response in one moment it would be to big for your system to hold and integrate as some us hold a lifetime of stored emotion and energy within. Yes, we all look for the spiritual experiences tied into expansion and we hear that word ALOT in our spiritual communities, yet NOTHING expands with out contraction. The Universe breathes in this rhythm and so does our breath. This is why we work in series of sessions while embracing Somatic work and we let go of the 'quick fix' because we know the body needs to build a capacity and learn to work with expansion and contraction, so the symptoms begin to communicate and share their messages.

It is NORMAL for pain and symptoms to intensify when they are coming up to heal...the important thing is to stay with the momentum of building the capacity of expansion and contraction to continue the release of built up survival stress, to give the system time and opportunity integrate new ways of showing up to automatic patterns and to allow the cells to register 'we are safe'.

A 'Wise Woman' and astrologer told me today that we are in a phase where we have an opportunity to take our power or to lose our power over these coming months.

As I witness the experience of my own life and those of my clients and close friends, I can see this so clearly. As all our stories vary, the one thing we all have in common is that everyone of us are having to go into the depths to claim it.

For those of you who know myth and/or astrology you might know that the Underworld is quite known as the place were our power resides. Pluto, Lord of the Underworld is associated with power as well as death and rebirth. What many of us don't know is that it is the Dark Goddess that we first meet when we go into the Underworld. She embraces us and holds our hand as we go into the realm where the resources and treasures reside.

Our power comes from an unwavering knowingness that we can only truly embody trough direct experience. We can never truly know Power outside of ourselves, having another tell us what is wrong with us or putting our Blind Faith in the words of another.

This is what has been taken away from Western Civilization in many ways and makes us cling to an identity of who we think we are or which mask we wish to present to the world. Yet to know Power we must be willing to be stripped of that.

If we are truly on a quest to 'Know Thy Self', then we must allow old parts to die so we can be reborn a new. We must make space and build capacity to sit with the depths and allow ourselves to be carried to the places where power awaits to be retrieved.

We can not claim to want to know the Goddess and then flee when we realize the Moon is what illuminates the Night, the Darkness.

When we work with 'body as shadow' we dive into our direct experiences' and allow the layers to slowly shed as we follow the threads to Gold, The Diamonds and the Treasures that lie underneath all of the hard stuff.

We begin to know Power by coming to this embodied place of having light illuminate us from the inside out.We must go all the way into the darkness in order to fully emerge into light.

Some of the ways the felt sense of power can be experienced is a diamond respirating in the center of your chest, a fire dancing in your womb, a heightened awareness of your limbs, bones and thick skin wrapped around your body. Usually to find these places we must follow the contraction, the tightness, or uncomfortable place because that is the way the Soul draws your attention to where the power awaits you.

How do you sense power? Where in your body do you feel that, what is the quality of it, how big or small is it? Are you curious and are you wanting to feel more?
