From concept to reality, this is our reading nook! We had this tiny little room with a huge picture window that we just knew could be a special place. It even has it’s own private bathroom! Members can hang out here between sessions, or anytime, just to relax and unwind. 😌

We loved seeing our member Cadara Parks and her therapy dog Apex at last week’s headshot event! 🤍

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist, Cadara supports some of our community’s smallest (and bravest) clients, toddlers and children navigating big feelings.

Her work centers around grief, anxiety, and ADHD, and she brings so much care into every room she’s in. Forever grateful to have her (and Apex) as members.

Yesterday we hosted our 5th Annual Breakfast & Headshots Event! 🎉 Looking back, our very first one was on June 10, 2022, and here we are in 2026, gathering with so many old friends and new.

Grateful for this community of incredible people who are dedicated to the work they’re doing, running small businesses like pros, and making a difference every single day. And a huge thank you to for capturing us so beautifully! 🌿

🌿 New year reflections & looking ahead

In November, we took a little Common Ground retreat. Time away to reconnect, reflect, and dream about the future of this space we love so much.

Almost 4 years into Common Ground Cowork, we’ve officially met our original goal: proof of concept. A therapist coworking space can work! And not just work, but thrive, in Huntsville.

From the beginning, our hope was to break down barriers therapists face when starting private practice by offering fully furnished, turnkey offices you can book as little or as much as you need. But we also wanted to create a community. A place to belong where colleagues become friends, just like we did so many years ago.

So here we are looking ahead, and we don’t want any big changes, just a bit of thoughtful refinement. Streamlining the member experience, getting more focused with our offerings, and making sure the therapists who want and need support can actually access the information and resources that help them grow sustainable practices.

One thing we’ll never let go of is our annual Breakfast & Headshots event. We started it the year we opened, and it’s still one of our favorites. We can’t wait for this Friday, then we’ll take those headshots and roll right into our next event focused on helping therapists truly market to their ideal clients!

We’re excited, grateful, and dreaming carefully and intentionally. Here’s to a 2026 that is exactly what you want and/or need. 🤍🌿

Rating things we hear at Common Ground Cowork 👀

From disbelief about our fiddle leaf fig 🌿 to questions about contracts 😅…we’ve heard it all! This space was dreamed up by two therapists over lunch at MELT downtown, built for flexibility, connection, and to reduce barriers to starting a private practice.

What’s a question you always ask or something that surprises you most when touring a new office space?

She accepts BCBS insurance and can be contacted through her website at carolynwhitetherapy.com.

To our fellow therapists, we hope you get to meet her at a future event, and don’t forget to visit our tree on the Tinsel Trail at Huntsville’s Big Spring Park now through New Year’s Eve!
