Swing time = more than just fun 💫

Swinging provides powerful vestibular input that helps with balance, body awareness, and confidence in movement — especially for kiddos working through gravitational insecurity. With each gentle swing, they’re building trust in their bodies, regulating their sensory system, and gaining the courage to explore their environment.

And honestly… the sweet baby giggles along the way are the best kind of progress 🥹💛

Stepping, scanning, and staying safe 💪🧠

Today’s session focused on visual scanning and stepping over hurdles while navigating different colored balls to challenge functional balance and coordination. Activities like this help improve body awareness, attention to the environment, and safe mobility during everyday play and movement.

Functional, fun, and purposeful — all while building strength, balance, and confidence in physical therapy! 🩵

Big skills can come through tiny straws! 🥤

Learning to drink from a straw is more than just a cute milestone—it’s an important step for oral-motor development. When children use a straw, they practice:

⭐️Lip rounding and closure
⭐️Tongue control
⭐️Coordinated sucking and swallowing
⭐️Breath support for speech sounds

These are the very same muscles and movements that help with clear speech and safe feeding!

✨Parent tip✨
Try using a small straw and thicker liquids (like smoothies or yogurt drinks) to make it easier to control and feel the suction.

Little sips today can lead to big communication skills tomorrow!
