📣 $120 Per Child for Summer Groceries—See If Your Family Qualifies! 📣
This summer, Alabama is offering SUN Bucks, a program that provides a one-time $120 grocery benefit per eligible child.
💵 What is SUN Bucks?
Eligible school-age children will receive $120 on a pre-loaded EBT card to help families buy groceries during the summer.
🍎 What can it be used for?
Groceries like fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, and other food items.
👧 Who is eligible?
• Your household already receives SNAP or TANF
OR
• Your child attends a school that offers breakfast/lunch and your household income qualifies for free or reduced-price school meals
✅ You will automatically receive SUN Bucks if:
• Your household receives SNAP or TANF
• Your child is directly certified through Medicaid (in some cases)
• Your child is identified by the school as:
• In foster care
• Experiencing homelessness
• Part of a migrant program
➡️ If this applies to you, a card will be mailed to your home.
📝 You need to apply if:
• Your child meets the eligibility rules above
• BUT your household is not currently receiving SNAP, TANF, or the services listed
If approved, you will receive the $120 per child.
