Oreo is one special pup! His is a story of love, resilience, and compassion. He was a rescue that came with behaviors that his handler lovingly worked with him to overcome.
His new human saw potential in Oreo and started the journey to become a therapy animal team. Today Oreo brings smiles, care, and compassion to all that he meets. Thank you,Huntsville International Airport and Friends of Rescue for sharing his smile!
He is loved, bathed, and chauffeured by Sherri.

We had the sweetest surprise at the Huntsville International Airport—getting to meet Oreo, an incredible rescued therapy dog, and his amazing handler! 💙

Oreo is part of Therapy Partners, Inc., a wonderful organization making a real difference in our community. From bringing comfort to patients in local hospitals, to supporting students in schools, and even easing travel stress right here at the airport—these therapy teams show up with wagging tails and open hearts. 🐶✨

It’s amazing to see the impact a gentle nudge, a soft ear, or a quiet moment with a rescue dog like Oreo can have on someone’s day. We’re so grateful for the work Therapy Partners is doing to spread kindness, comfort, and connection throughout our community.

✨ Celebrating an incredible milestone! ✨

At the recent Handlers Retreat, Cherie Orcutt was honored with a 30 Years of Service Award presented by Lyndsay Coats and what an amazing achievement it is! 💚

Cherie is the longest-serving handler at Therapy Partners, dedicating three decades of compassion, commitment, and heart to the organization. Over the years, she has partnered with five incredible therapy dogs, and today continues her meaningful work visiting facilities with Wrigley 🐾

From volunteering and instructing to capturing moments as a photographer and supporting others through her knowledge and leadership, Cherie has truly done it all. Her impact has touched countless lives, both human and canine, and her legacy is something we are so proud to celebrate.

Thank you, Cherie, for 30 years of unwavering dedication and for making such a difference in our community. This honor is so well deserved! 🎉

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Therapy Partners. We are grateful for the dedication that our 2025 Volunteer of the Year, Dean Bowden.
He has been a handler with canine partner Coco for over five years, visiting Fox Army Health Center,Huntsville International Airport, as well as Redstone Village.
Dean is also an instructor for Kind Hearts.
