Time for another Wednesday provider introduction!
This week we are meeting one of our med providers Sarah.
-Hello! My name is Sarah Koberlein, and I am an ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and compassionate support for individuals ages 6 and older. My areas of focus include perinatal mood disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and psychotic disorders, especially when they occur alongside other medical conditions.
My nursing career began in the intensive care setting—working in cardiovascular, trauma, and medical-surgical ICUs. During that time, I witnessed how often mental health needs were overlooked, despite their profound impact on overall well-being. That realization became a turning point for me. It inspired me to pursue my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Psychiatric Mental Health at East Tennessee State University, which I completed in 2020. Since then, my mission has been clear: to bring mental health care to the forefront and help dismantle the stigma surrounding it.
My treatment philosophy is holistic, inclusive, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, welcoming environment where every individual feels heard, understood, and validated. Together, we’ll develop a personalized treatment plan designed to help you achieve your goals, foster resilience, and enhance your overall quality of life.
Outside of my professional role, I enjoy spending time with my partner, family, friends, and my dog, Gene. I find nature to be deeply grounding, and you’ll often find me hiking, traveling, attending concerts, or creating art in my free time. These experiences help me recharge and stay connected to what brings balance and joy—something I encourage my clients to find in their own lives as well.
Sarah is accepting new clients, if you or someone you would be a good fit contact the office at 865-263-2200
