We've noticed a marked increase in veterans seeking independent medical exams (IMEs) with disability benefits questionnaire (DBQ) requests.

While we at RPS are happy to provide this service, we want vets to know that they never have to pay for a Compensation & Pension (CP) exam (which includes an evaluation and DBQ completion). That is available to all veterans per their retirement/end of service package. It's a sort of benefit.

That said, there are some veterans who still choose to seek an IME and DBQ from us, so we wanted to share this infographic to kind of explain the options. As a rule, Dr. Robinson will always first encourage the veteran to go through the VA (usually by contacting a Veteran Service Officer) to get the C&P exam and DBQ done without charge.

Many veterans tell us they prefer to have the ability to choose the examiner given we can usually get the veteran in quicker for these exams than the VA can.

Today's Veteran's Day. Yes, we are open. Yes, if you need a listening ear or just a cup of coffee and a donut, we got 'em. I don't want to get sappy and seem disingenuous. We have veterans on staff. Knox Pride is excited to announce we are now Youth Navigators for Knox County in partnership with the Knoxville CAC & the to help house, educate, and advocate for youth and young adults ages 18-24. We are excited to provide these crucial services to our area. Now more than ever we need access to more services for the community.

We will also be changing our hours for the winter & to better align with needs starting Monday 11/3 we will be changing the hours of the center and the Thriftique to Monday - Friday 11am-4pm.

We are excited to grow the offering we can provide to Knoxville and surrounding areas through all of our services. We are excited to be selected by HUD for the next two years and we look forward to what other services we can add.

As I board my flight to Knoxville, I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve the community. As always, I learned a great deal how to better serve the populations I care deeply about. Veterans, immigrant services, psychedelic assisted therapy, trauma informed care, psychological evaluations and assessment and so much more have been addressed! I can't wait to share what I've learned!

Today is the final day of APA! I've been I. Training regarding AI, how to grow a private practice, psychotherapy and health evaluations for gender affirming care, bariatric surgery, implants and organ transplants.

Day 2 of APA! I've successfully networked with veterans evaluations companies---Loyal Source and VES! Both were welcoming and helped me with some questions about providing timely DBQs for veterans.

I also met with the TOVA company and have some exciting changes coming to my ADHD/ADD evaluations as a result of that meeting!

As we are starting up autism evaluations for all ages 2+, I have a host of new solutions to get folks assessed quicker and get evals done faster.

For today, I'll be in sessions learning about psychedelics in health psychology, ethics and legal/forensic work and trauma treatments!

Yall pray for me. I love to meet new people and talk, but my knee is saying hush up and move along.
