James Alberding, clinical assistant professor, is the 2021 recipient of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s Novice Faculty Excellence Clinical Teaching Award. The purpose of the AACN Novice Faculty Teaching Awards is to recognize excellence and innovation in the teaching of nursing by novice faculty at AACN member schools.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of a former graduate. Derek Wilson, CRNA passed away suddenly due to an accident. He was a graduate of the Class of 2015. Not only was he an outstanding practitioner and an advocate for his profession, he was an amazing husband and father. He leaves behind his wife, Anna and 4 children. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Friends have set up a gofundme page if you would like to donate money to go to the family. Derek will be missed by so many.
