Today our seniors with memory loss got hands‑on with our newest STEM tabletop tool — the ChompSaw, a dementia‑safe cardboard cutter that turns simple sheets of cardboard into pure imagination fuel.

With every gentle “chomp,” residents practiced:

✨ Hand‑eye coordination
✨ Sensory exploration
✨ Design thinking and creativity

From simple shapes to imaginative structures, the room was buzzing with focus, laughter, and that wonderful spark that comes from making something with your own hands.

Today our residents took a wonderful trip down memory lane — and what a journey it was. We explored vintage toys, including a beautifully preserved 1940s–1950s Wolverine Child’s Real Electric Iron, sparking stories of childhood play, homemaking pretend‑games, and the simple joys of imagination.

The fun didn’t stop there. Residents tried their hand at the accordion, enjoyed sensory games, and even raced cars down a track — cheering each other on like kids again. The room was full of laughter, music, and that unmistakable spark of nostalgia.

And of course, our beloved pets Minnie Pearl the cockatiel and Dolly the ferret made their rounds. These two bring comfort, purpose, and companionship as residents help care for them and enjoy activities centered around their sweet personalities.
