Grand rising! The holidays are approaching and can be difficult for many including my family. It’s taken me years to not run away from celebrating birthdays and holidays without my loves who have transitioned. When I say run, I would travel, isolate or just not at all. And even traveling the world could only give me temporary happiness before the sadness began with the end of the trip and back into reality.

So this widow journey/brain is being restored every time I unlock a hidden part of myself that I buried with the pain. DAI Wellness is still in the business and only focuses on learning or creating your healing journey through mindfulness and movement that creates stillness of the heart, body and mind to aid in release. As my widow group continues to remind me… you’re not alone.

Most days, I feel like going into my shell or relocating myself, my business and my knowledge to communities that are learning to be mindful of self, breath work and surroundings. However, the reality is most are still unaware, there are Still spaces not everyone feels welcomed and mindfulness is limited or exclusive.

My reason of showing up is from my late husband (not being a Knoxville or Tennessee native) complaints of not having an inclusive neighborhood from the city government perspective, spaces for people of color to feel safe, people who are different to feel safe, etc. Byron was the main reason I love sharing my talents and even put myself out here exposing all of my quirks that make me free to be me. My hope is those in need of this freedom, space and lifestyle work are ready and willing to commit themselves to the work and meet me in the studio 💪🏾🫶🏾🧘🏾‍♀️
