High Risk Obstetrical Consultants As Knoxville's premier maternal-fetal medicine practice, HiROC provides state of the art care for women with risk factors that may affect their pregnancy.

High Risk Obstetrical Consultants, also known as HiROC, is a team of high-risk obstetricians and other healthcare professionals who provide state-of-the-art care for women with risk factors that may affect their pregnancy. HiROC's experienced team includes maternal-fetal medicine specialists, diabetic educators, genetic counselors, sonographers, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and clinical support staff. HiROC is a proud member of the State of Tennessee Regional Perinatal Centers. We are one of only seven centers across the entire state. The Regional Perinatal Centers provide and ensure an appropriate, accessible high-risk perinatal and neonatal health care system that meets the needs of high risk infants and women in Tennessee. We are also proud to be affiliated with the University of Tennessee Medical Center and their Center for Women and Infants. The University of Tennessee Medical Center is the region's only academic medical center. The medical center is a Level IV obstetric and Level III neonatal care provider, which means it is certified to care for the the most complex maternal medical conditions, obstetric complications, and fetal conditions in the East region.

Our community is seeing an increase in flu activity. After consultation with our hospital epidemiologist, Dr. Shorman, beginning today 12/30/2024 we have established visitor restrictions. Visitors under the age of 12 and anyone exhibiting signs of illness (cough, congestion, stomach upset) except for those seeking medical care are restricted from visiting patients at this time.
