The exhaustion you feel is not just physical. It is the weight of a mind that will not stop spinning. In Chinese medicine, overthinking damages the spleen, creating a heavy, damp energy that settles in your body and clouds your thoughts. The ancient ones knew that to clear the mind, you must first comfort the center.

Comment WISDOM if you are giving yourself permission to put the weight down tonight. And if you are not already following me, please follow. I share teachings like this every day.

That ringing in your ears is not just a random symptom. In Chinese medicine, the ears are the opening to the kidneys. When you drain your deepest energy reserves through chronic stress and exhaustion, the ringing begins. It is your body asking you to stop.

Comment RESTORE if you are going to try resting instead of reaching for coffee tomorrow. And if you are not following me yet, please hit that Follow button so you do not miss tomorrow's teaching.

Teeth grinding and jaw clenching are not just mechanical problems. They are signs of Stomach Fire—heat generated by overthinking and rushing, rising upward while you sleep. The ancient ones knew that to relax the jaw, you must first cool the stomach.

Comment TRUTH if you are going to try this grounding practice tonight. And if you are not already following me, please click the Follow button. I share teachings like this every single day.

They will never teach you this in school. After you eat, do not sit down. Walk.

The Chinese have done this for thousands of years. When you eat and collapse onto the sofa, you smother your digestive fire. The uncooked food ferments. That is the bloating, the brain fog, the heaviness that makes you want to nap when you should feel alive.

The ancients called it one hundred steps after a meal. Ten minutes. A slow, gentle walk. Western science recently confirmed it reduces bloating by nearly half. Two thousand years later, the science caught up.

Your grandmother was not being superstitious. She was being wise.

Your morning does not need to be a battlefield. It can be a temple.

A battlefield is a place of rush, of conflict, of bracing for the day.
It is the sound of the alarm.
The glare of the screen.
The frantic race against the clock.

A temple is a place of peace, of ritual, of quiet intention.
It is the warmth of the tea.
The stillness of the air.
The first deep, conscious breath.

You have been taught to prepare for battle.
What if, instead, you prepared for worship?

Worship of the quiet moment.
Worship of the gentle beginning.
Worship of the simple, sacred act of being alive for one more day.

That lump in your throat is not anxiety. It is something much older.

The ancients called it Plum Pit Qi — the shape of every word you swallowed, every boundary you did not set, every time you said "I am fine" when you were not. Your throat is the narrowest passage between your heart and the world. When you force emotions back down for years, they get stuck right there. In the bottleneck. In the place where your truth was supposed to live.

Place your hand on your throat. Breathe in slowly. Let the air fall out with a quiet sigh. You are giving the gatekeeper permission to soften. You have been silent long enough.
