We’re tired of seeing parents struggle and burn out while fighting for services their children deserve.
Advocacy shouldn’t be a full-time battle and you shouldn’t have to do it alone.

At Path2Growth Counseling, we’re launching new Advocacy Services to support families who feel overwhelmed, dismissed, or exhausted by the process of navigating school systems trying to get services for their child/teen.

From navigating evaluations, understanding your rights to preparing for school meetings, our team is here to guide you with clarity, strategy, and compassion.

Because your child’s success shouldn’t depend on how hard you can fight, it should depend on the support they receive.

At P2G, we are saddened by the government shutdown affecting so many federal workers and the potential of millions going without food due to SNAP benefits being cut.

We want to help do our part. We are part of the Queens/Long Island community and are coming together to help feed/support those in need.

If you would like to donate, you can stop by our Floral Park office or submit via Venmo. We will be coordinating with local food pantries, churches, and schools.

This past weekend, P2G attended the School Resources for at Roy Wilkins School (PS 136Q), a school we often work and collaborate with.

We gave away pens, notebooks, and supplies to families in need!

We also had a fun sensory game involving the sense of smell for children!

We are happy to collaborate with other schools for workshops, professional development, family work, and providing support to staff/admin.

Thank you for allowing us to provide supplies and support to the community!

Play is more than fun—it’s a tool for growth.

At P2G, we use play therapy to help children build real-life skills in a safe, supportive space. For example, a pretend trip to the ‘store’ in our playroom can prepare a neurodivergent child to manage anxiety in a loud, busy grocery store. Through play, we help kids practice coping strategies, problem-solving, and confidence for the real world.

Path2Growth will be running a social skills group for teen boys (13-16) this summer! This is a seven week session focused on helping them build social skills for high school, maintaining friendships, and getting support managing conflict.

Spots are limited. Some insurances accepted. $40 per session (if not using insurance)

🌟 Career Day Recap! 🌟
Last week, our amazing team member Alisha represented Path2Growth at the My Brother's and Sister’s Keeper Career Fair in District 29!

She had the opportunity to speak with bright young minds about what it’s like to be a therapist — sharing real stories, sparking curiosity, and inspiring the next generation of mental health advocates.

We love partnering with local schools to bring mental health awareness and career pathways into the community. Big thanks to District 29 for having us! 🙌

This past weekend, the P2G team got together for our spring self-care event.

As the leader of my team, it's not about taking charge but also taking care of those in my team. At P2G, we try and do seasonal events every year to ensure the team isn't burning out or suffering from compassion fatigue, and we have fun with team building activities.

This past weekend, we played mini golf at Swingers Nomad in NYC. It was an amazing time and I highly recommend it for events!

I don't ever want anyone on my team to feel burnt out because that affects our ability to care for others in our community.

Just know at P2G, we care for each other so we can take care of YOU.
