☀️What is the UV index?☀️
The UV Index provides a forecast of the expected risk of overexposure to the sun AKA how strong the sun’s rays will be on any given day/time. It predicts UV intensity levels on a scale of 1 (very low) to 11 or higher.

Various factors affect UV exposure-
⏰ Time of day: The worst time to be outside in the sun is during the highest UV index, generally between 10am and 3pm. You’re still susceptible even if you’re wearing sunblock

🌦 Weather: Clouds can also play a role in scattering and reflecting UV rays. Some of the worst sunburns occur on cloudy days and UVA rays can even pe*****te glass, rain, and fog.

🏔 Terrain: If you're in an environment that includes reflective surfaces like water, snow, or sand, you're more exposed to UV rays because light will bounce back onto you.

🗓 Season: The level is usually highest in the summer, but can be elevated during other seasons, so it's important to always stay protected!

🌍 Geography: You are more exposed to UV rays if you're closer to the equator or higher in elevation
