Each surrogacy scandal deserves every ounce of the outcry and condemnation—to exploit people’s compassion, trust, resources, and dreams in this most sacred experience is beyond despicable. News like the recent Surro Connections scandal affects all of us. We have joined several other agencies in providing pro bono services to intended parents and surrogates affected; because both the wins and losses of this community are ours to share in.
We can only hope that good people are not deterred from helping another family achieve their dream or from the chance to build their own family after recurrent pregnancy losses, cancer diagnoses, significant health setbacks, or biological deficits—because the truth is that 99% of surrogacy journeys are nothing short of beautiful and life-changing. There will always be bad actors out there, but we remain committed to standing in the light and shining it on every beautiful family we’ve had the honor of knowing and growing. 🤎
