List of 2025 Matchmaking Events Throughout the Globe

🎡Ferris Wheel Speed Dating at Winterland Hasselt
At Winterland Hasselt in Belgium, a Ferris wheel speed dating experience launched in early November 2025 and will run through January 2026 as part of a seasonal festival. Developed by five PXL University students, the 45-metre-high ride paired participants using questionnaires on personality and partner preferences. Matching was designed with input from university psychologists and s*xologists, making the experience both playful and research-driven.

💘Matchmaking Event for Wealthy Singles in Beijing
In July 2025, a private matchmaking event for wealthy singles was held at a five-star hotel in Beijing, China. The curated gathering focused on financially established individuals seeking partners with similar social and economic backgrounds. Informal conversations and structured activities encouraged direct interaction, reflecting cultural values around status alignment and long-term compatibility.

🏳️‍🌈Shark Tank–Style LGBTQ+ Dating Event in Kansas City
In Kansas City, Missouri, Tiffany Watts and Lo Cowan created a community-led LGBTQIA dating event through Where To Find Us. Participants were introduced by friends through short, creative presentations, including stories and slideshows. Color-coded wristbands signaled dating availability, combining humor, support, and structured mingling.

🍃Dating Event for Farmers in Western Australia
Held during the Perth Royal Show, this speed dating event connected single farmers across Western Australia. Hosted by farmer Tiffany Davey, the initiative addressed the challenges of dating in remote rural areas. The event helped participants meet others who share similar lifestyles, work demands, and geographic realities.

✨Singles + Moms Matchmaking Event in Pakistan
In May 2025, Muzz, a dating and marriage app, expanded its Singles + Moms Matchmaking Events across major Pakistani cities including Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Karachi. Designed for those seriously seeking marriage, the format encouraged attendees to participate with mothers or close family members. Group discussions and ice-breakers blended traditional family involvement with modern matchmaking.

📚Bookshop Speed Dating by Bored Of Dating Apps (BODA)
Created by Jessica Evans, BODA bookshop speed dating events gained popularity in the UK and US among younger audiences. First launched in New York, the concept expanded to London, Liverpool, and beyond. Hosted in bookstores, these events use shared literary interests to spark conversation and revive in-person social connections.

💜Senior Matchmaking in Seoul
In October 2025, Seoul’s Jongno district hosted its third Jongno Good Life Challenge for seniors aged 65 and above. Held at Donhwamun Traditional Theater, participants enjoyed performances, creative activities, and 20-minute one-on-one conversations. Inspired by I’m Solo, the event resulted in 10 new connections, highlighting the role of social engagement in reducing loneliness.
