“Alchemy” is about surrendering control by creating ATTAINABLE habits and routines that limit our continual THINKING so that we can become more functionally efficient in our lives. “Alchemy” is moving meditation. Alchemy is the science that preceded chemistry and focused primarily on transforming base metals to gold and creating magical potions to cure disease and allow for immortality. But just as much as it was physical, as it dealt with the physical conversion of matter, it was spiritual in its relation to achieving the utmost purification of one’s being. This aspired transmutation required a BALANCE of all elements, and REMAINS only an aspiration. In a world where extremes seem to have become the norm as it relates to: aesthetics; work ethic; or lowering our standards altogether as a result of our failed attempts to keep up, most of us have forgotten what it feels like to HAVE and MEET our own standards. If each of us were to meet DAILY goals related to our health, would we NEED the extremes? Or might the consistency of SIMPLE routines lead us to our own PERSONAL elixirs for the BALANCE that we subconsciously crave in our lives? What if the continual aspiration for this unidentifiable craving can actually be MET by maintaining a simple health routine - one that includes moving your body at the best of your ability for just an hour of your time? What if allowing someone else to guide you while you allow your mind to STOP is exactly what you need to propel you toward the abundance that you seek in work, love, and JUST BEING HAPPY? So, you see, “Alchemy” is not just about metals or the fountain of youth. “Alchemy” is about surrendering control by creating ATTAINABLE habits and routines that limit our continual THINKING so that we can become more functionally efficient in our lives. “Alchemy” is moving meditation. “Alchemy” is the endorphins that INTERNALLY motivate us. “Alchemy” is consistently engaging in experiences that breed PROSPERITY. “Alchemy” is finding the perfect blend of elements to elicit the BALANCE that we seek.

The Duo! The pair met through their competitive travel soccer team and attended the same High School, St. Joseph Hill Academy, in Staten Island, NY. Although they hit it off as great friends, they walked their own paths from their college years until their reunion in 2020, all the while encouraging and supporting each other from afar. Meet Georgia! Scratching her creative, artistic itch, Georgia attended Fordham University, where she studied graphic design. Upon graduating, Georgia was employed as a graphic designer, preceding her title of design manager at her most recent place of employment. Georgia became a mother to daughter Sofia in 2013 and son Christos in 2016. Her innately energetic personality and the need to better herself as a mother compelled her to become a Tinkergarten Leader, where children are directed in innovative, social, and developmentally engaging outdoor activities. Georgia then took an opportunity to utilize her skills as a graphic designer and social media manager for the company Healthy Path, a non-profit company focused on instilling healthy habits in our youth. Georgia’s innately energetic personality compelled her to volunteer as a teacher at Tinkergarten, where children are directed in innovative, social, and developmentally engaging outdoor activities. Despite all of her formal training matched with her intuitive creativity, Georgia envisioned her future in the health and fitness domain. At the start of 2020, she decided to get certified as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor in order to share her inherent nature to MOVE while translating her energy to motivate and empower. Georgia holds certifications as a personal trainer through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) and as a Group Fitness Instructor through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Georgia began training clients one-on-one, with a strong pull toward beginning endeavors in group fitness instruction.

Meet Sarah! With an interest to learn more about the training aspect of sport, Sarah attended the University of Delaware to study at their school of health sciences. It was there that she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Strength and Conditioning. Upon graduating, Sarah began working as a personal trainer at Crunch Fitness, and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in April of 2006. Although this position allowed her to combine her learned skills, exercise education, and inclinations as a communicator and teacher, she didn’t feel as if she’d found her career “home” yet. Sarah sought to expand her knowledge in the health field, while incorporating her kinesiological background. She earned a Master’s in Occupational Therapy at Seton Hall University, and has since worked with populations across the lifespan, with orthopedic, developmental, and/or age-related limiting factors. Despite Sarah’s career transition to the rehabilitative side of health, she continued to engage in the fitness world, obtaining Pro Status with the World Beauty, Fitness, & Fashion (WBFF) organization. In 2015, she became a Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN). Through all of the transitions, Sarah maintained her position as an Occupational Therapist, presently working in an elementary school for the NYC Department of Education. Since 2006, Sarah’s vision has been to be able to uniquely combine and utilize her personal strengths and education without being limited to job specifications. Alchemy created! After 17 years of growth on their respective paths, Georgia and Sarah reconnected as their visions and goals were unveiled to each other. Acknowledging their similar purpose, mindset, and cravings for creative freedom in their careers, the choice to establish something together was nearly immediate. Within one week of their decision, Alchemy Fitness & Wellness had their first class on August 15, 2020.
