One of the biggest things I teach my pregnancy clients is this:

Nutrition isn’t just about what you eat.
It’s also about how foods and their nutrients work together 🙌🏼

Certain foods help your body absorb, utilize, and benefit from nutrients much more effectively when they’re paired well.

Here’s my combinations I suggest using over and over again in pregnancy.

Protein + fiber → steadier energy and fullness
Iron + vitamin C → better iron absorption
Healthy fats + fat-soluble nutrients → better nutrient utilization for you and baby

None of these require complicated recipes or perfect eating.

They’re just small shifts in how you build meals — and those small shifts can make a big difference in how you feel during pregnancy.

My clients feel relieved when the realize the the solution isn’t eating more foods… it’s pairing the ones you’re already eating more strategically 💚

If you’re constantly hungry an hour after eating… it’s probably not about willpower 😅

It’s usually missing protein + fiber together.

This is one of the biggest shifts I make with my fertility and pregnancy clients —we don’t focus on stricter food rules, cutting carbs, or obsessing over macros… just building meals that actually hold you over 🙌🏼

Protein helps with satiety and blood sugar stability.
Fiber supports digestion, hormones, and long-lasting energy.

And when you pair them?
Meals feel calmer, cravings settle, and eating stops feeling like a constant mental load.

These aren’t “perfect” meals. They’re realistic ones — the kind you can repeat without overthinking.

I know how easy it is when you’re trying to conceive, to feel like you should be doing more 😵‍💫

More workouts.
More supplements.
More effort.
More pressure.

And honestly… I see so many women pushing themselves harder and harder because they care so deeply about this next chapter🤰🏻

Movement can be incredibly supportive for fertility — and I love moving my body. But the shift I often help clients make isn’t doing less… it’s doing things more intentionally 🙌🏼

Not exercising from a place of stress or urgency.
Not trying to “outwork” your hormones.
Just moving in a way that supports your nervous system, your energy, and your overall health.

If TTC has started to feel heavy lately, take this as your reminder that you don’t have to keep piling more on your plate 💚

These are some of the things I say to my pregnancy clients that usually make them a bit surprised! — and then actually brings a lot of relief 🥹

Not because they’re controversial, but because they’re not trendy or often said out loud.

Pregnancy nutrition has become overwhelming. So many rules. So much fear. So much pressure to do everything “right.” 😵‍💫

My job isn’t to give women more things to worry about.
It’s to help them understand what actually matters — and what doesn’t.

👆🏼A well-varied, balanced diet supports pregnancy far more than constant restriction ever will.
💡Protein matters, but it’s not something most women need to obsess over.
🩶Carbs belong on the plate.
🍪Processed foods can have a place.

And nutrition should feel easier, not harder 🙌🏼👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏼🤰🏻

If you’re pregnant and food suddenly feels stressful…

you’re ok and you’re not doing it wrong!

Pregnancy nutrition has become loud — endless rules, conflicting advice, fear around food.
Most women don’t need stricter guidelines. They need clarity, reassurance, and support from someone who understands both the science and has been through it 👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏼

When I work with pregnant clients, we don’t aim for perfection. We focus on eating enough, building balanced meals with protein, carbs, and fiber, simplifying supplements, and making choices that actually fit their day-to-day life.

The goal isn’t to eat perfectly
It’s to feel calm, confident, and nourished while growing a baby.
