Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental condition characterized by recurrent invasive thoughts, memories, or impulses. It also causes compulsions to repeatedly carry out mental or behavioral rituals.

Neuroimaging studies have provided strong evidence that OCD involves neural circuits. In our approach, we use fMRI to detect the activity of the whole brain with special attention for the involved networks in OCD. We then determine the targets specific to each individual patient based on the malfunctioning of different regions. These targets that vary amongst patients will then be treated by TMS for normalizing the functioning of the involved networks.

There are four basic types of bipolar disorder; all of them involve clear changes in mood, energy, and activity levels. We can identify the miscommunication between brain networks that cause this condition and use that information to guide your treatment.

With fMRI imaging, we can pinpoint the exact network(s) that are not functioning properly that cause manic episodes to occur. With this technology, we can treat the specific areas precisely with a personalized treatment plan and precise Neuronavigation.

If you’re deep in the throes of anxiety, it can be hard to find clarity in your thoughts.

Anxiety demands your attention. It’s exhausting and overwhelming. It dominates your mind and there’s no ignoring it.

Anxiety isn’t about sudden feelings of panic. We all feel anxious from time to time. Anxiety is crippling and - for those with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) - it’s constant.

FMRI Technology brings clarity to your treatment plan by allowing our experts to directly “see” your brain at work. Our unique combination of network-focused transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and fMRI can help our patients find relief from anxiety.

Simply put, the fMRI images help us identify your unique brain function and we create a treatment plan as unique as you. Since several parts of the brain are key factors in the production of fear and anxiety, the fMRI helps us identify the areas affected in your brain.

Have you ever been deeply depressed? I’m not talking about feeling melancholy for a few days or a couple of weeks. I’m talking about that kind of depression that seems to go on forever. Where you lose your energy for living your life. The kind where you can’t seem to get out of bed some mornings. What if you could find the specific spot, or spots, in your brain that cause your depression symptoms? You can, with FMRI-guided TMS!

TMS involves the use of a magnetic coil placed over the top of the head that sends magnetic pulses through the skull and into the brain. These magnetic pulses boost the electrical current that the brain produces, this way it stimulates nerve pathways and helps them function again.
