Some women leave fingerprints on your life.
Not always in big, obvious ways.
Sometimes it’s just something they said once.
Or the way they stood beside you when things felt heavy.
A teacher who really saw you.
A friend who stayed through a hard season.
A mother. A sister.
A woman who walked a little ahead and made the road feel less frightening.
You don’t always notice it in the moment.
Then one day you hear their words come out of your mouth.
You find their strength living quietly in your spine.
You catch yourself holding another woman the way they once held you.
How much of who we are was first given to us
by someone who loved us enough to shape us.
Happy Women’s Day.
May we keep rising, holding, and shaping one another đź’•
