🌴 WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING PATIENTS FOR OUR WAITING LIST FOR MITOCHONDRIAL REPLACEMENT THERAPY (MRT) IN THE BAHAMAS
In partnership with Doctors Hospital in Nassau
✅ WHAT IS MRT?
Mitochondria play a vital role in producing healthy eggs. As women age, mitochondrial function declines, leading to reduced egg quality.
Mitochondrial Replacement Therapy (MRT) is an advanced form of in vitro fertilization (IVF) that replaces a woman’s damaged mitochondria with healthy mitochondria from a donor egg.
This cutting-edge technique offers new hope for women — even those in their 40s or 50s — to have genetically related, healthy babies.
✅ WHO IS A CANDIDATE?
MRT may be an excellent option for women with:
1. Advanced maternal age
2. Low ovarian reserve (Low AMH or High FSH)
3. Poor egg or embryo quality (embryos that arrest)
4. Menopause or Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI)
✅ SUMMARY OF THE STEPS.
1. Your immature eggs (GV – Germinal Vesicle stage) are frozen and shipped to RFC Bahamas at Doctors Hospital.
2. Along with your 3–6 frozen GV eggs, we’ll ship 3–6 donor eggs (used to extract healthy mitochondria) and the spermfor fertilization.
3. You will travel to the Bahamas once only, for the embryo transfer.
