NOTE at 7PM: There will be a pre-concert discussion with Cornel West and Arturo O'Farrill

Performed by The Brooklyn College Big Band and the Conservatory Singers, Arturo O'Farrill's The Cornel West Concerto is a result of the collaborative efforts of four-time Grammy winner, Arturo O’Farrill, and award-winning author and Grammy nominee, Dr. Cornel West. The piece was commissioned by the Apollo Theater in May of last year. The Cornel West Concerto is a tour-de-force work and an oratorical plea for justice, love and respect.
