Not sure whether you need physical therapy, acupuncture, or cupping? Each treatment helps pain differently — and many Midtown patients benefit most from a combination.

Physical therapy fixes movement issues and strength imbalances.
Acupuncture reduces tension, pain, and inflammation.
Cupping increases circulation and releases tight fascia.

If you’re searching for acupuncture vs cupping, pain treatment NYC, or physical therapy Midtown, this guide is for you.

1. Your neck pain isn’t caused by technology — it’s caused by how your body reacts to stress while you’re on technology.
2. That burning between your shoulder blades? That’s your postural muscles giving up and your upper traps doing everything.
3. Neck cracks feel good because they relieve pressure — not because they fix instability.
4. Headaches behind your eyes or at the base of your skull are often neck-related, not dehydration.
5. Shoulder tension isn’t from tight muscles — it’s from shallow breathing that keeps your neck muscles overworking.
6. If your pain gets worse as the day goes on, that’s fatigue, not damage.

Your neck isn’t weak — it’s overwhelmed.

Knee pain on stairs or during runs is one of the top reasons NYC patients search for help. In Midtown Manhattan, runner’s knee (patellofemoral pain) is extremely common because of all the stairs, pavement, and daily mileage.

The real problem? Weak hips and tight quads change how your knee tracks — causing pain every time you bend or load the joint.

If you're searching for knee pain physical therapy Midtown, runner’s knee treatment Manhattan, or patellofemoral pain NYC, we can help.

The best gift you can give this holiday season is the gift of better movement at MPT! 🎅🏻🎄🎁

Shoulder pain when you lift your arm is usually NOT “just inflammation.”
For Midtown desk workers, it’s almost always shoulder impingement or rotator cuff irritation caused by tight pecs and weak stabilizers.

If your shoulder clicks, aches, or pinches during overhead movement, early physical therapy makes a huge difference — and prevents frozen shoulder.

If you're searching for shoulder pain physical therapy Midtown, rotator cuff rehab NYC, or shoulder impingement treatment near Herald Square, we can help.

1. Your back pain didn’t “come out of nowhere.” It’s been building from months of stiffness, poor recovery, and stress you’ve been ignoring.
2. That sharp catch you feel? That’s not something slipping — that’s your nervous system slamming the brakes because it doesn’t trust your spine to move.
3. Morning pain isn’t age — it’s inflammation mixed with discs that haven’t rehydrated yet.
4. Your chair isn’t the enemy. Staying in one position for hours is. Your back hates stillness more than bad posture.
5. If your pain jumps from your back → hip → glute → thigh, that’s not worsening — it’s compensation.
6. Stretching feels good, but it doesn’t fix the problem. Stability does.
7. Your MRI doesn’t predict your pain — function does.

You’re not fragile.
You’re overloaded — and your back is the alarm.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2025 Holiday Party hosted by Clifton PT and Manhattan PT. It was such a great night of conversations, catching up, and celebrating the season together over good drinks and even better company.

We also had a lot of fun stuffing teddy bears 🧸 and ended up raising $1,700 for Toys for Tots, which was a wonderful bonus to an already memorable evening.

All of the event photos are available on the invitation if you want to look back at the night.

We’re grateful for everyone who came out and made the party what it was. Can’t wait to do it again next year. ✨

Holiday Tip: Stay Hydrated
Cold weather + holiday drinks = sneaky dehydration.
🎁 Aim for:
• Half your body weight in ounces
• Extra water on days with alcohol
Hydrated joints = happy joints.

🔥 Hot take: Icy Hot isn’t fixing your pain — it’s masking it.
Here’s why those cooling creams feel good but don’t solve the problem 👇
