🗣️Hear ye, hear ye. The foyer table 🗣️

Foyer tables first appeared in the French royal court during the reign of King Louis XIV, serving as decorative furniture in palaces like Versailles. These early foyer tables were designed to showcase fine art, sculptures, and other decorative items, often affixed to the wall with brackets.
With a shift in function, over time, foyer tables evolved to incorporate drawers, shelves, and other features, making them more functional and adaptable to various spaces within the home. This made them an ideal spot for slamming one's keys, dropping all Amazon deliveries, and most of all, a PERFECT location for small children to drive & crash their matchbox cars. These actions often happened until scratches formed similar to the markings of a grizzly bear attack.
