Offline, Julie curates and implements wellness programs for large and small companies & hotels nationally and globally. She also specializes in teaching individuals from all walks of life including celebrities, corporate professionals, CEOs and young adults. Julie is a prolific health blogger whose yoga, fitness and food articles and videos are featured across the Internet on many websites including Forbes, FoxNews, MindBodyGreen, Refinery29, Greatist, Worldlifestyle and more. She appears as a wellness expert on television for Fox News, CNBC and Arise Entertainment. Julie completed her MS in Nutrition and Dietetics at NYU, is a certified yoga teacher, ACE™ personal fitness trainer, co-founder of a NYC yoga studio and Professor of Health and Fitness at St. She leads workshops and retreats around the world including at renowned yoga venues, The Omega Institute, Kripalu and The Yoga Journal Conference. Julie graduated from Harvard College and completed her MFA at The American Film Institute.

I’m so lucky to have work that allows me to educate so many diverse populations. Thank you .mimi.k and everyone who organized and came to this terrific event. We covered all aspects of fitness for female leaders; moms, doctors, community leaders and more. After my talk, we enjoyed desserts from The Win-Win Diet (plus a beautiful cheese, dried fruit, and healthy cracker board) and wonderful conversation.

I can’t think of a more wonderful way to celebrate my book than at author’s night : 100 incredible author’s by my side, friends and family stopping by, book worms browsing and buying…etc.

Most of all, the greatest pleasure is when I get to talk to people at events like this, about why they are buying my book—to help heal their health struggles, give to a loved one to assist them with theirs, or because they hope to live to 100!Whether the book is used for healing or prevention, knowing it can impact a single soul, makes all the time and energy invested in it more than worthwhile.

Brunch is notorious for packing in calories, fat, processed flour and sugar, and lots of other ingredients those following a plant-based would rather stay away from. Huge portions? Those too. I use to avoid brunch for these exact reasons. BUT, recently I‘ve seen a change in the NYC brunch scene with healthier menu options. I could not have been happier than with Maya’s Breakfast Bowl . This dish is exemplary of how to pack a nutrient punch at brunch and it’s comprised of entirely whole pure plant-based foods. So, when you’re making your own brunch at home or perusing menus, use this bowl as your guide! (Of course you can have a waffle too when you truly want it).

Here are some nutrition highlights of this incredible dish.

Kale: Vitamins A, K, B6 and C, calcium, potassium, copper, manganese, and anti-oxidants.

Spaghetti Squash: Vitamin C, vitamin B6, betacarotene and fiber

Eggs: Protein, choline, vitamins A, D, B12

Quinoa: Complete protein, fiber, manganese, prosperous, folate, thiamin, iron, vitamin E

Radish: Antioxidants, calcium, potassium, vitamins E, A, C, B6, K

Avocado: Monounsaturated fats, fiber, vitamins C, E, K, B6, magnesium, potassium

Tomato: Lycopene, vitamins A, K, C, fiber
