As Neurodiversity Awareness Month comes to a close, it’s a moment to reflect on the many ways people think, learn, and experience the world.
Conditions like autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and many others, are often framed in clinical terms, but they also shape perspectives, problem-solving, and ways of connecting that can strengthen teams and deepen understanding.
For healthcare communicators, this means going beyond awareness and designing content, systems, and experiences that are more accessible, inclusive, and reflective of real patient needs – because better understanding leads to better care.
