Parents! Is your baby struggling to sit upright? 👶🍼

TASES (Task-Specific-Electrical-Stimulation) can help improve the connection between the brain and muscles while your baby is actively moving, so posture, balance, and control can develop more naturally.

TASES may be used for babies who:

• collapse or round forward in sitting
• struggle to hold posture during play
• have low tone or poor muscle activation
• need extra support for head and trunk control

It’s always used within baby's comfort level, and under professional guidance, and many babies tolerate it very well.

This video shows how gentle support + targeted activation can lead to better control, comfort, and confidence during movement.

If you’re curious whether this approach is appropriate for your baby, a pediatric PT can help assess posture, alignment, and motor patterns.

Did you know a small exercise ball can make help your baby build strength? ⚪👶

When babies practice tummy time on an exercise ball, it gently activates their core, shoulders, and neck muscles, all of which support rolling, sitting, and early motor milestones.

A small, firm ball gives just enough movement to challenge your baby’s balance while keeping things fun, engaging, and safe. Using toys, voice, or mirrors helps them lift their head, track, and push through their arms with more confidence.

Short, supported sessions (1–2 minutes) can make a big difference , especially when your hands stay on their hips or pelvis for stability.

This simple tool can turn tummy time into a positive experience while supporting your baby’s development. 💙

If your little one leans, collapses forward, or looks “rounded” in sitting, it may be a sign they need more support for pelvic alignment and trunk stability.

A baby’s pelvis is the foundation for upright posture, head control, and eventually rolling, crawling, and sitting.

Here’s how therapists help:

➡️ Gentle pelvic tilts
➡️ Supported alignment during play
➡️ Activating the muscles that keep the spine tall and stable

When the pelvis is in a better position, babies can:
✨ Hold themselves upright
✨ Use their hands more easily
✨ Build stronger core muscles
✨ Move into new milestones with confidence

If you’re noticing consistent slouching, leaning, or difficulty holding posture, a pediatric PT can guide you through safe, individualized strategies.

Save this and send to a parent who might need it. 💙

Did you know your baby’s shoulder position can affect how well they lift their head during tummy time? 👶🍼

When a baby’s shoulders are uneven or rolling forward, tummy time feels harder, and it can limit how high they’re able to lift.

With gentle, hands-on support, a pediatric PT can help your baby find better alignment, activate their core, and push through their arms with more confidence.

This simple adjustment often leads to easier tummy time, better head control, and more comfortable early motor development.

This video shows how much strength and stability improve when your baby has the right support.

Save this for your next tummy time session & share with a parent who might need it! 💙

Here’s how to incorporate an exercise ball during tummy time safely at home (2+ months old):

1️⃣ Choose the right ball:
Use a small, firm exercise ball or “tummy time ball.” Make sure it’s clean, stable, and slightly inflated to provide gentle movement. ⚪

2️⃣ Position your baby:
Place your baby on their tummy across the top of the ball with their chest supported and their hips gently resting on the curve. Keep one hand on their hips or pelvis for support. 🤲

3️⃣ Gently rock the ball:
Slowly roll the ball forward and backward or side to side while keeping your baby stable. This activates their core, hips, shoulders, and neck muscles as they adjust to stay balanced. 💫

4️⃣ Add engagement:
Use toys, mirrors, or your voice to encourage your baby to lift their head and reach. This also helps improve visual tracking. 🎾🪞

5️⃣ Keep sessions short:
Start with 1–2 minutes, a few times a day, and always stop if your baby seems tired or overstimulated. And hold on to the baby tightly for safety.

Save this for later! ✨

Adding a gentle swing during tummy time is one of the easiest ways to support your baby’s vestibular system, the part of the brain responsible for balance, coordination, and body awareness. 👶🍼

Try this 3–4x a week to improve your baby's head control and balance!
