And her husband had good reason for never wanting to buy another girl diamond earrings.
After a previous girlfriend had lost one of her diamond studs, he swore off gifting a pair ever again. Until he met his one true gem, and she brought their gem of a son into the world. 💎

On Christmas Eve, I got to wear one of my latest treasures - my Grandmother’s fur coat, which my parents were about to sell in an estate sale this past April, had I not come over to look through the items they had up for keeps.

The most special part about the coat - besides the fact that it must carry some very special stories from when it was worn by my grandmother - is that her name is stitched on the inside. 🥰

And while I can squeeze a few memories out of my dad about this coat - I made some time this New Year’s Eve to break the pattern of the unknown - and ensure this treasure’s story has a place to live on.

I’m so glad my local tailor was able to doctor some of its tears in time for Christmas. It may just be the first time I won’t dislike a very cold NYC winter - because I’ll be wrapped up in love and legacy.❄️ 😇
