What does healing look like? What does it sound like? What if art could hold you?

YAMS is more than a concert. It’s a gathering — a return to ourselves through story, food, music, and movement. Curated by Emotions Physical Theatre and The Black Boy Healing Project, this two-night event blends live music, visual art, contemporary dance, and shared meals into a one-of-a-kind experience of Black creativity and communal celebration.

🎤 Featuring:

Gumpy, lyrical truth-teller from Maryland whose music is part Kendrick, part prophecy

Brianna Del-Marie Forbes, a radiant Brooklyn-based vocalist/poet moving between soul, R&B, and gospel fire

Emotions Physical Theatre, known for fusing visceral movement with storytelling to move hearts and shift narratives

🖼️ PLUS: Arrive early for a backyard-style BBQ and live art gallery from actor/artist Kyle Vincent Terry (Power, Blacklist), featuring original work and storytelling behind the canvas.
