One thing that happens on client calls more often than you’d think…

We’ll be walking through a project and someone on the call suddenly perks up and says, “Wait… you guys can do that too?” or “I didn’t realize you had crews in that part of the country.”

That moment always makes me smile because it captures what Red Summit Productions really is. We aren’t just one service or one type of production. Over the past 16 years we’ve built a team and a network that allows us to handle a wide range of projects. From social and branded content to live events, documentaries, and large-scale productions across the country. Our role is often to take all the moving pieces and put the puzzle together so our clients can focus on the bigger picture.

As we wrap up another busy week, I’m incredibly grateful for our RSP team, the freelancers who jump in with us on projects, and the clients who trust us to help tell their stories. Production is a team sport, and none of this happens without great people showing up and doing the work.

If you or your team have upcoming production needs, feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to jump in and help bring the right pieces together.

Meet Ryan, RSP’s Senior Producer!

Ryan is incredibly thoughtful in his work. From pre-production through post, he’s always thinking several steps ahead: asking the right questions, anticipating challenges, and making sure no detail slips through the cracks. Whether it’s creative, logistics, or client experience, Ryan sees the full picture.

He holds a degree in Communications (Radio/TV/Film) from Marist University. His short films have screened at the Museum of the Moving Image, the Queens World Film Festival, and internationally in the UK. Before joining Red Summit Productions, he spent eight years at the filmmaking non-profit Reel Works, where he ran the organization’s in-house production company as Producer and later Head of Production.

Outside of Red Summit, he enjoys street photography, running, and collaborating with musicians and artists on video projects.

Ryan never approaches a project halfway. The care and attention he brings to every shoot is one of the reasons it’s always such a great experience being on set with him.

We love our car commercials 🙂

Every production starts somewhere. This one started with a location scout under a bridge in Nashville, Tennessee.

We highly recommend to not roll into a location with trucks and cameras and start filming. It takes planning, coordination, permits, and someone who truly knows the city or the specific location. The right location has to work creatively, logistically, and legally, and getting there often takes days or weeks of scouting, conversations with property owners, and navigating city approvals before a single light is set up.

After 16 years producing shoots across the country, we’ve learned that great productions are often built on the work that happens long before the crew arrives. Did you know that RSP handles permits for productions?

For this shoot, we worked with location manager Mark Ragland, walking potential spots around Nashville before landing on the perfect one beneath the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. The space had everything we were looking for: scale, texture, and the kind of backdrop that would give the vehicle real presence on camera.

What many people don’t see is the work behind the scenes. Location managers are coordinating permits, city agencies, property owners, safety considerations, parking plans for production trucks, and making sure the space will actually function for lighting, cameras, and movement. It’s a job that requires deep local knowledge and a lot of problem solving.

Huge thank you to Mark for helping us find and secure the location, and props to all location managers for being such a pivotal part of production.

Reach out if you need the perfect location secured.

Our productions start with a vision that leads to permitting and sometimes shutting down a New York street.

Red Summit Productions worked with the incredibly talented Director & Photographer Moriah Sawtelle and All Opal to collaborate with Cadillac and Remy Martin on two recent campaigns.

For Cadillac, we closed a street outside COQODAQ on a cold NYC night to capture the newest Cadillac in a striking urban environment.

For Remy Martin, the production stretched across five days and two locations, combining studio work with a bar and restaurant setting to help reframe the brand through a new creative lens.

It was a privilege to support these productions and help bring Moriah’s vision to life alongside two iconic brands.

The Unofficial First Day of Spring in NYC.

You can feel it the second you step outside. The heavy coats are gone, the short sleeves are back, and Midtown is suddenly full of people with smiles and good vibes. Even lunch breaks turn into long walks through the city instead of hiding indoors in the office kitchen! The whole mood shifts overnight.

For us at Red Summit, it means something else:

Outdoor production season is officially back.

I’ve been doing this for over 16 years now, and I still get a kick out of it. We’ve filmed on rooftops, in the middle of parks, on active construction sites, and along the the East and West Side Riverfront. Every spring starts the same way:
the days get longer, the light gets that "perfect" golden hue, and suddenly every client wants to be outside.

Honestly? We love to work. Period. But there is something about that first warm shoot day that brings out the best in everyone.

A massive thank you to our Red Summit staff and the freelance crews who haul the gear and make the magic happen. After a long winter of studio shoots, cold outside filming and edits in NYC, it feels incredible to get back on the pavement with the cameras and a sunny mother nature.

Here’s to longer days, better light, and the best team in the business. Let’s get to work!

Just because it’s home turf doesn’t mean it’s easy.

Brent ambassador from Cache_seven headed up to his home mountain, Mt. Hood in Bend, with Ben, lead guide and cofounder at Trillium Alpine Guides, for a full ski mountaineering push. They started the day skinning, switched to crampons once the slope kicked up, and capped it off with a long-earned descent back down. A true alpine effort, start to finish, all in one day.

Last night we were honored to attend the Columbia Babies Heart Fund Gala in NYC.

For the past three years, Red Summit has been a trusted partner of the Babies Heart Fund, and this year’s film was especially meaningful for our team. Last month, we traveled to Texas to interview Dr. David Spencer, a 76-year-old former patient treated at Columbia in 1958 for congenital heart disease. We also filmed the story of Mirabelle Pitt, a 19-year-old college student whose life has been shaped by today’s advanced surgical techniques. Their journeys reflect the transformative impact of Columbia’s care and the research funded by the Babies Heart Fund.

Sitting in a room filled with supporters and seeing those stories resonate across generations was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

Big projects start with big moments.

Last week, we were up in Pittsfield documenting a press conference announcing state funding awards for new housing projects. was awarded funding to renovate 24 North Street, a long-vacant building that’s about to get a new life as retail shops and apartments. The conference was held right inside the space itself, which made it even more powerful. Standing there, you could already picture what it’s going to become.

Maura Healey, Governor of Massachusetts, and Kim Driscoll, Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts, were both there to mark the moment.

Congratulations to Allegrone and everyone involved in bringing 24 North Street back to life!

Thinking about warmer days on the water.

We teamed up with Cache 7 to tell the story of pro waterman Andy Hurdman, someone who truly lives the lifestyle he shares. Andy splits his year between the Hamptons and Dorado, Puerto Rico, chasing wind and swell, and spending as much time on the water as possible. He’s been doing it his whole life, and now he’s passing that knowledge on.

With his go-to e-foil from , the learning process feels natural. Riders build confidence quickly, progress faster than they expect, and start to understand what keeps him coming back to the water year after year.

You can find Andy’s trusted setup exclusively on

POV: You’re on your way to our office in Grand Central.

Last April, we moved from Times Square to Grand Central Terminal, and the commute hasn’t gotten old once.

Every morning, you walk into one of the most incredible transit hubs in the world. The energy hits you right away. Commuters locked in and heading to their 9am. Tourists standing still, looking up at the ceiling and the iconic clock in the center for the first time. That mix of routine and wonder is very New York. We love that every day starts in a place that feels bigger than just an office.
