Grief after miscarriage or recurrent pregnancy loss doesn’t look just one way.

For some, it’s deep sadness.
For others, it can be anger. Jealousy. Numbness.
Sometimes it shows up as conflict with a partner who’s grieving differently.
Or as intense productivity and distraction.
Or as guilt. Confusion. Anxiety about future pregnancies.

You might find yourself struggling to hold space for someone else’s joy while carrying your own heartbreak.
You might feel stung by comments like, “At least you can get pregnant.”
You might feel worried about what comes next.

All of it is valid.

There is no “right” way to grieve a pregnancy loss. There is only your way. 🤍

If you’re navigating miscarriage or recurrent loss and feeling overwhelmed, we’re here to support you. Call us at 212-335-0034 to learn more about therapy and support options.

You don’t have to carry this alone.

Still becoming.

Needing help doesn’t mean you’re failing, it means you’re human. And parents were never meant to do this alone. 💛

These are the important conversations we need to be having.

“The first person who asked me, ‘How do you feel? How was your birth?’ — and I saw the horror in her eyes — I realized… this isn’t normal.”

When someone finally names what happened, the silence breaks.

In this powerful clip, speaks about being gaslit during her birth experience, the obstetric abuse, and why so many maternal deaths among Black women are preventable. Her message is clear: this is about bodily autonomy, accountability, and systemic change.

Black maternal health is not a niche issue. It is a public health crisis and the majority of these deaths are preventable.

Listening to Black women.
Believing Black women.
Protecting Black women.

That cultural shift can’t wait.

Thank you to for amplifying this conversation and to for continuing to use her voice for reproductive justice. 🖤

When the sun starts to set and everything suddenly starts to shift… you’re not imagining it.

So many parents describe a wave of sadness, anxiety, or dread that creeps in at night during the postpartum period. You replay the day and think, “I didn’t do enough.” You brace yourself for the unknown of the night. Will the baby sleep? Will I sleep? How hard will this be?

This experience, sometimes called the “sundown scaries,” is more common than people talk about. By evening, your body is depleted. Hormones are shifting. Sleep deprivation is catching up. And when the house gets quiet, your thoughts can get loud.

You are not failing. Your nervous system is tired.

One small way to help is to create a gentle transition ritual as the sun sets. A short walk. A comfort show. A warm shower. A few slow breaths. Something predictable that signals safety before the unpredictability of the night.

If evenings feel overwhelming or consistently heavy, you don’t have to navigate that alone. Support can make a meaningful difference.

Policy matters. And this is meaningful progress for maternal and child health.

Congress recently passed the FY2026 federal spending bill, protecting and strengthening critical programs that support mothers, infants, and families across the country. This includes continued and expanded funding for maternal mental health initiatives, an area many of us have worked hard to advocate for.

Highlights include:
• $8M in funding for the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline
• $12M for the Maternal Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders Program
• Protection of key federal programs that were previously at risk

This progress shows what is possible when policymakers, advocates, clinicians, and communities prioritize maternal mental health as essential healthcare.

But funding is only one piece. Awareness, access, and early intervention still matter every day.

If you or someone you love is struggling during pregnancy or postpartum, support is available. Call us at 212-335-0034 to learn how we can help.

Sleep deprivation isn’t just tiring, it can deeply affect mental health, especially during pregnancy and postpartum. Hormonal shifts, feeding schedules, anxiety, and a constantly alert nervous system can make rest feel out of reach.

If sleep disruption is worsening your mood, anxiety, or ability to cope, it’s not a personal failure, it may be a sign that you need support. Sleep and perinatal mental health are closely connected, and addressing one can often help improve the other.

You don’t have to navigate this season alone. We provide care that understands the perinatal period.

Becoming a mother doesn’t just add a role, it reshapes identity, expectations, and how you move through the world.

In this conversation, sits down with , founder & CEO of , to unpack the often invisible chapters of motherhood. Discussing conception and postpartum recovery, to the pressure to “bounce back,” the myth of being ready, and the grief that can accompany becoming someone new.

At The Motherhood Center, we see this every day. The transition into motherhood is profound, layered, and deeply personal — and it deserves care, time, and support, not silence or speed.

It's so important that we continue to make space for honest conversations about what motherhood really looks like. 🤍

If you’re navigating this transition and feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unlike yourself, you don’t have to do it alone. Support is available.

Behind every Olympic mom is more than a training schedule.

There’s postpartum healing.
Hormonal shifts.
Feeding routines at 3am.
Bodies that feel unfamiliar.
An identity that is expanding in real time.

The athletes taking center stage at Milano-Cortina 2026 aren’t just returning to sport. They’re returning to themselves after pregnancy and postpartum. They’re navigating recovery, sleep deprivation, shifting priorities, and the emotional weight of motherhood. All while refusing to give up the parts of themselves that make them who they are.

Motherhood doesn’t erase ambition. It transforms it.

And whether you’re training for the Olympics or just trying to make it through the day, redefining yourself after becoming a parent is real work.

If you’re in the perinatal period and feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of who you are right now, you’re not alone. Support can make all the difference.

Love isn’t just about chocolates and roses. It’s about care, presence, and showing up when things feel hard.

For many new and expecting parents, Valentine’s Day can bring mixed emotions. Pregnancy and the postpartum period can surface anxiety, sadness, or overwhelm that no one warned you about, and that can feel especially isolating on a day centered around “happiness.”

Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) affect 1 in 5 parents, and they are treatable. Support, compassion, and evidence-based care can make all the difference.

Today, let’s honor love in all its forms — the kind that listens, believes, supports, and reminds parents they’re not alone.

Share or send this to someone who might need a little extra love today. 💕

When someone is trying to understand whether they may be experiencing a Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder (PMAD)—or has just received a diagnosis—one of the most common questions we hear is: “How is this different from regular depression or anxiety?”

PMADs occur during pregnancy and the postpartum period, a uniquely vulnerable time shaped by hormonal shifts, sleep deprivation, identity changes, and the demands of caring for a new baby. While symptoms can look similar to depression or anxiety, PMADs require specialized, perinatal-informed care.

And one of the most important things we want you to know: this doesn’t last forever.
With the right treatment and support, symptoms can improve and you can feel like yourself again.

If you’re struggling during pregnancy or postpartum, you don’t have to figure this out alone. You deserve care that understands this season of life.
