Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 people during their reproductive years, yet remains one of the most misunderstood and underdiagnosed conditions in healthcare. On average, it takes seven years to reach a diagnosis. This Endometriosis Awareness Month, we’re breaking down how the condition works, why your symptoms are valid regardless of stage, and how to start finding a path forward.

It’s time to start building healthcare with women in mind. 🩺

In her recent piece for Forbes, our CEO Felicity Yost calls for the industry to move beyond the same stagnant arguments for funding women’s health. We already know women are 51% of the population. We already know they drive healthcare spending. Now the focus needs to shift to the how.

At Tia, we’re moving beyond the status quo by designing care around female biology instead of male-centered norms, focusing on sophisticated, sex-specific clinical outcomes, and proving that specialized women’s care can be a scalable, durable business model. The results speak for themselves, from screening rates that are more than double the national average to meaningful improvements in mental health outcomes.

For a long time, the standard in medicine was built around a male default. If women didn’t fit that model, our symptoms were often labeled an “exception” or a “mystery.”

This , we’re highlighting the women who refused to be the exception. From Dr. Shelley Taylor’s discovery of the “Tend and Befriend” response to Dr. Rebecca Lee Crumpler’s pioneering work in preventive care, these women helped reshape how we understand women’s health today. 🧬✨

At Tia, we don’t just study this history, we use it to build better care. Which of these pioneers did you learn about for the first time? Let’s talk about it in the comments.

The dominant cultural narrative tells women that “strength” means needing less, feeling less, and managing stress in total isolation.

But our evolutionary record tells a different story. When we’re stressed, our bodies don’t just pump cortisol; they also activate oxytocin. In women, estrogen actually increases the sensitivity of those oxytocin receptors, making connection one of our most effective ways to lower allostatic load, the wear and tear of chronic stress.

At Tia, we see connection as a vital sign. Whether it’s a meaningful conversation or a safe hand to hold, your biology is doing exactly what it was built to do: healing through the collective.

We’re biologically better together. 🥂

Happy International Women’s Day. Today we’re celebrating the “Tend and Befriend” instinct. Research shows that in times of stress, women are wired to reach for connection. We support, nurture, and build community.

That instinct is more than a social habit. It’s a powerful form of resilience.

Success rarely happens alone. It happens because of the friends, mentors, and communities who show up for us along the way.

The history of women’s health explains a lot about why so many women still struggle to feel heard in medical settings today.

For centuries, medicine was built around a “male default.” Women were excluded from clinical trials, their symptoms were labeled emotional, and many conditions affecting women were misunderstood or ignored.

The result?
Women are still more likely to be misdiagnosed, dismissed, or wait years for answers.

But the conversation is changing.

At Tia, we believe women’s health is more than reproductive care. Your hormones, heart health, immune system, and mental wellbeing are all connected, and your lived experience is valuable clinical data.

Better care starts with listening. 🤍

If you could audit your health for 2026, where would you start?

This month, we encourage you to move away from the “wait and see” approach when it comes to women’s health. We asked Courtney Domingo, a Tia provider and women’s health expert with over two decades of clinical experience, to highlight five ways to advocate for your future health (and self!) today.

Whether it’s maximizing the care you already have access to or why strength training is your best defense for bone and hormone health, these are the shifts that actually move the needle.

The goal for 2026 is to be proactive, not reactive. Swipe for the five habits worth prioritizing this year. Which one is at the top of your list? Let us know in the comments and book care at the link in our bio. 👇

It’s time to clear up a common misconception: a Pap test and an HPV test are partners, not twins. 👯‍♀️

They’re often done together, but they look for different things. A Pap test checks for abnormal cervical cells. An HPV test looks for high risk strains of the virus, including types 16, 18, and 45, that can lead to those changes.

At Tia, our members complete cervical cancer screening at 2.5x the national average because we make it simple, with in clinic exams and at home HPV self swabs for eligible patients.

Not sure what you’re due for? Screening is the most reliable way to catch changes early. Learn more at the link in our bio and book a screening to stay ahead of your health. 🩺

This Women’s History Month, we’re honoring the past by redefining the future of care for women and embracing the truth that women’s health is more than just reproductive, it’s the interconnected conversation that happens throughout your whole body.

From the estrobiome in your gut to the hormones shielding your heart, from the food that fuels you to the community that holds you, your body is an ecosystem, and your care should be as intricate as the life it treats.

What does women’s health mean to you? Let’s redefine the standard in the comments or get started on your reset at asktia.com. 👇

Medical disbelief isn’t just a “bad experience,” it can be a clinical risk. For many women, symptoms are dismissed until they become a crisis. For Black women, this disbelief is systemic, rooted in a history of medical exploitation and the biological toll of weathering.

Access alone doesn’t close the gap, but trust does. 🤝
Our 2025 Health Outcomes Report shows that when we prioritize listening, the data shifts: relationship-centered care led to higher screening rates and faster improvements. Listening is clinical best practice, and we’re building a model where your voice is the most important data point in the room.

It turns out, your stress isn’t just in your head. It’s wired into your biology.

Research shows that women’s stress hormone receptors are often more sensitive and stay activated longer. That means when your body goes into stress mode, it can take more time to power down.

Your HPA axis, the body’s stress command center, is designed to protect you. But when that system stays on high alert, it can begin to affect sleep, mood, energy, and even your cycle.

Swipe to learn why stress can feel so “sticky” and how to start signaling safety back to your body ✨
