👊 Lose The Weight 👊

Telling a patient to “just lose weight” for pain is like telling someone in a car with a flat tire to “just drive faster”…

It’s lazy, irresponsible, and dismissive ❌

I’ve had patients lose 50-100+lbs and STILL be in pain. Riddle me that!

Drs have missed fractures, muscle tears, ligament tears, nerve pain, and more from “treating” this way. And it’s a damn shame 🤦🏻‍♂️

When it comes to PAIN RELIEF, weight rarely ever matters, it at all. What matters most is movement, body mechanics, and having people in your corner cheering you on!

Are you out of alignment? 🫢

Not really.

One thing you MUST understand. Any deviation from your “normal”, specifically when pain is involved, is typically a compensation pattern from your issue.

You don’t need adjustments.
You don’t need to fix your posture (as a matter of fact, there’s not such thing as perfect posture).
You don’t need to worry about “one hip higher than the other”.
-
Instead, focus on MOVING more with more DIVERSITY. It’ll help drop pain levels which will in turn cut out those compensation patterns!

Don’t miss the forest for the trees!
Don’t waste time, money, and energy focusing on the wrong things 🙏

Because this move is SO good 🤩

The cat cow is a great movement to introduce flexion and extension into your spine. By raising the legs, you are introducing a whole new level of engagement that can play a massive role in you feeling better! 🕺🏻

And yes, your range of motion may be less with the leg lifts, but the engagement is worth it 😈

So give this move a try and let me know how it feels and breathe plenty 😮‍💨
