Ahhhh Typical…
-
Every patient I’ve seen and spoken to over the last 6 years has had some version of this experience:
1) hot pack/cold pack
2) E-stim/ultrasound
3) Arm/Leg bike + 5-7 of the SAME generic exercises that don’t change for 6+ weeks (for example, for the back, hips, and knees it’s usually glute bridges, clamshells, birddogs, hamstring stretches, monster walks, side planks, and leg press)
4) 7 min massage and you’re on your way

That isn’t PT.
That’s 🐂💩

It’s maximizing insurance reimbursement to squeeze as much money out of you as possible without providing much relief. You’re wasting money (if you have a co-pay) but more importantly?
You’re wasting TIME.

Time that you’ll never get back…

And the more time that goes by, the worse the issue gets. Physically and psychologically!!!

Burn that HIP PAIN out 🔥🍑

A lot of people think they need to stretch the life force out of their hip to minimize their pain. But that’s not always the answer!
-
Sometimes (often times), you have to ignite the flame and use those muscles! Once you do that, the pain can diminish or go away! 😍

This goes for your hip flexors too 😉
-
And that’s what this move does! It activates your glutes and other stabilizing muscles that might be causing the bursitis (remember, bursitis/tendonitis are SYMPTOMS!!!) 🤯

So give this move a try and let me know how it feels! Make sure to take your time and breathe plenty 😮‍💨

As always, if this move causes you pain, decrease the range of movement. If pain persists, stop the exercise! 🤗
