It’s a big misconception…. Disc herniation ≠ pain forever.
-
In fact, most disc herniations heal and as long as you have a plan to continue with movement and an excellent provider to guide you, no matter how limited you might be, recovery is practically guaranteed.
-
Now it may take time, and for some longer than others. But healing is absolutely possible!!
-
I sprint fast
I jump high
I lift heavy
I hike (went up Kilimanjaro and almost died… BUT NOT because of my back! 😅)
I have control ❤️

🫢 MRI REPORTS 🫢

MRI reports are good to get and can be helpful in certain situations.
-
But honestly? Often times they create more fear and stress than what’s actually necessary. And with that fear and stress usually comes restriction…
-
And for those patients who have a CLEAN MRI and yet still have tremendous pain? Don’t even get me started…
-
Don’t be afraid of your MRI. Over 90% of the patients I’ve treated could’ve avoided it altogether as their MRIs did little to nothing to explain their pain 🙏❤️

Consistency beats intensity.

Every. Day. Of. The. Week.

Whether it comes to pain relief, building strength, endurance, learning…. ANYTHING.
-
Being consistent is the key to it all.
-
There will be ups and downs, it may take longer than you’d like, you may get frustrated, but it doesn’t matter.
-
Because if you’re consistent (and persistent), you’ll reach your goal.
It WILL happen.
-
So keep pushing!

Many only start taking their body seriously when a problem occurs…

Yea, I understand exercising/working out and intentionally moving your body is inconvenient. Time consuming. Effortful. Not in the mood.
-
But it’s either you start prioritizing it now or your body will break down and then you’ll be forced to work on it.
-
Your body isn’t fragile by any means. But the less you do, the more it’ll feel that way.
-
And if you ARE in pain, then this message is even more important.
Don’t do less. DO MORE!!!
-
Are you proactive or reactive? 🤔
Are you doing everything you can to keep your body strong and healthy? 🤔

The “quality” in the medical system is infuriating 🤬

There are too many people walking around with too much pain for far too long!! 😤
-
I can’t tell you how many patients have come in, after being in pain for months, years, and decades, that go on to have MASSIVE amounts of relief within just a few weeks…. 🥳
-
And these are people who HAVE gone to PT before, usually multiple.
People who HAVE gone to the Chiro, often multiple.
People who HAVE tried different modalities of treatment, often multiple 😩
-
Even their own doctors have told them they should start considering surgery (WHEN THEY DEFINITELY DIDN’T NEED IT)
-
But what was the secret? Combining the right physical approach with the right mental coaching, actual education that isn’t based around scaring the 💩 out of people for no reason, and empowerment/positivity/motivation to help keep their vision of a better, more pain free life, alive ❤️
-
And yea that was a run on sentence, but there’s a lot to mention here! 😅

Point being is that you’re not your diagnosis. You can be helped. You can feel better. You can feel more comfortable in your body.
You CAN be happy ❤️

You just have to believe that and find the right person to guide you 🙏
