I am the woman I am because of my mom Maggie, my grandma Ethel, my mentor Betty Jo, my friend Nancy and so many more. These women poured the tea that nurtured my soul, absorbed the bitterness so it would never reach my lips, and planted new fields so I could grow in ways they were never allowed to imagine.
Today I honor every woman doing the quiet, invisible work and every woman doing the bold, defiant work—and I trust that together, standing on the shoulders of the women before us, we become the reason the next woman dares to bloom into her biggest, most beautiful dreams.
Happy International Women’s Day to the women who made you and the woman you are!

Wonderful night of Peace Meets Pulse (a Nepali/ New York fusion) where and I created tea cocktails using Nepali teas and New York wines and spirits. We then used some tradiotnal Nepali spices with traditional tea snacks. We had an amazing group from who are on a New York tea tour finding tea treasures throughout the city — such a joy to share this evening with so many tea enthusiasts!

I just had the opportunity to speak with some of those I consider my family in Nepal. While the circumstances are dire and worse than being reported — they are at least safe and staying so for now.
I am praying for the safety of all and for peace. Sending love to all my friends and adopted family in Nepal.

It has been a truly difficult year. This day seems especially hard without my mom. The support of my amazing friends and family has helped me survive this Annus Horribillis. I am so grateful for each and every one of you.

This year's theme of Celebrating the Women in Tea is near and dear to my heart, and I look forward to honoring the women in tea today.

Chris and I drove from NYC to Jackman Maine for the Teaclipse. We had tea in totality and were not raptured. What a beautiful experience!!
