Be bad at something good 🙂

I think I’m addicted to books.

I love books. I love borrowing stacks from the library.
I get overwhelmed by them… and then return all of them at once.

Once in a while, a few books stay with me for life. I reread them every 2–3 years.

They become my friends.

I usually read 3–4 books at a time, and I know I probably shouldn’t.

But I’m not perfect, and I let myself be imperfect when it comes to reading.

Last year, I discovered something about myself.

When a friend stayed with me for a few days, I practiced yoga more consistently.
Not because I suddenly found more discipline, but because I wanted to share it with her. I wanted her to feel how good it is.

Somehow, inviting her into goodness made me want to show up for myself too.

When she complimented my yoga practice, I laughed and said:

“I only do it when you’re here. You motivate me.”

And that’s when it clicked.

Heart-Centered Planning ✨🤍✨

At the last planning event, we went deeper than usual.

I invited participants to look at the priorities and goals they had chosen and to notice how they felt about them.

Do these priorities and goals create anxiety even before getting started?

I asked: are you being kind to yourself, or are you pushing yourself toward burnout while doing what you think is “right”?

Our intentions should excite us.

And there is also a middle way, a place where excitement coexists with peace.

Each of us needs to find this dynamic balance when we set priorities for the year ahead.

Two other powerful questions we applied to our priorities came from Will Parfitt’s book, The Complete Guide to Kabbalah:

* What needs to be refined?
* What needs to be elevated?

I felt called to share this.

Bring curiosity and kindness into your planning process.

Let your planning be a practice of self-listening.

The world is changing, and it is not post about AI ;).

The way people connect changes and we become more intentional. We prioritize being outside and being in person. It is a great thing.

Today during the .co led by

I enjoyed being outside, walking and having insightful conversations:

1. I hope inspired TechWalkers to think about the word of the year.
2. I got carried away and acted like someone aunt and told another participant, learning to ask great questions of other is essential.
3. I geeked out about co-founder businesses. It has been a while I talked shop talk with other co-founders.

It has been absolutely beautiful morning filed with great energy and absolutely stunning weather.

To Plan or Not to Plan?

Start with a PAUSE

Check in with yourself.

1. Are you feeling tired, maybe not resourced, and not really motivated to do much?

I would suggest you take time and take care of yourself.

Sleep, eat well, meditate, work out, go into nature. BOOK Life Activation with me.

2. You feel excited about the beginning of the year, it gives you energy, and you feel it is a good time for you to start planning.

New Year time is good for you to do planning. You can go at 100%.

3. You want to plan, but you want to do it in a more gentle mode—not to rush, not to be forced into it.

So do it at your own pace and time.

There is a lot of talk about planning or not planning. I see points on all sides.

I want you to KNOW YOU and see where you are at. Do not worry about the world.

DO YOU!

Planning is something like brushing your teeth—eventually, you do it regularly, not once a year.
