The Art Therapy Project

The Art Therapy Project The Art Therapy Project provides group art therapy for people in need of mental health services.

The Art Therapy Project is a nonprofit mental health organization providing free group art therapy to adults and youth affected by trauma. Using the art-making process and with support from our art therapists, clients learn how to explore feelings, increase self-awareness and cope with life's challenges.

Throughout the day, pay attention and see if you can notice one thing for each sense that brings a feeling of calm or joy. Notice things you can see, hear, smell, taste and feel, then choose a color, shape or symbol to fill a page to represent each sensation. This practice can help to remind ourselves of small connections to calm and joy that are present, even throughout the dark and cold winter months.
