Sorin Medical P.C. is pleased to announce the opening of our new location at 47 Sickles Street, New York, NY 10040.

Dr. Philip Green and Dr. Shayan Nouri, previously seeing patients at 232 Sherman Avenue and 44 Sherman Avenue, will now be seeing patients at our new location a few blocks away at the corner of Sherman Avenue and Sickles Street.

Better Blood Flow, Fewer Procedures: Sorin Medical Treats First Patient in Groundbreaking PAD Study!

Sorin Medical is excited to announce that we have successfully treated our first patient in a crucial international research study. This study is testing a new, innovative approach to help individuals suffering from Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), a condition characterized by blocked blood flow in the arteries of the lower leg.

The breakthrough treatment involves a special balloon coated with medication, known as SELUTION SLR™. This advanced method aims to improve blood flow, prevent arteries from narrowing again, and ultimately reduce the need for repeat procedures.

Today, Dr. Shayan Nabavi Nouri (Interventional Cardiology), along with Dr. Michael Uhouse (Interventional Radiology), Dr. Caitlin Mendoza, Dr. Gustavo Soto, and Scrub Tech Andrew Lee, successfully implanted the first “disappearing stent” at Sorin Medical using the Abbott BTK Resorbable Scaffold System.

This groundbreaking procedure marks a significant milestone in vascular care at Sorin Medical.

The advantages of this procedure include:

- Reduced pain and improved comfort during recovery.
- Improved ability to walk.
-Decreased need for repeat procedures.

This innovative stent is made from a special material that provides the necessary structural support to keep arteries open during the healing process, while gradually dissolving and being absorbed by the body over time.
